Scored quite well in the Which report and is a best buy although lower down the table than others. Basic microwave without oven and grill. I bought it and it seems to work OK especially for the price. Its not a huge size but great for one or two people and takes a normal size plate. When I actually looked at what I do with my microwave I realised that I had only very basic needs, having had a large complicated one previously. I have decided that the combined oven, grill and microwave get far too messy beyond my cleaning skills with all the nooks and crannys, so I bought a separate mini oven instead also on offer at the time in Argos.

Out of stock but I expect they will get more in and be roughly same price. I paid £40 for it just over a year ago and my Mum bought hers previous year for same price. It's okay microwave, I only use it for heating milk, baked beans and popping corn, sometimes I buy the odd pouch of rice but far cheaper making your own.

In stock again, lol

This microwave is invariably sold at £39.99, doesn't seem to be full price very often. You can draw your own conclusions.

Yes, true. I bought it 3 weeks ago for this price, and I can't imagine anyone paying £79.
It's a very basic microwave, and although it is advertised as 20l capacity, it is still the same size as older 17l ones.
I guess in marketing, measurements evolve with the times.

This is what you could buy for £74: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/de-longhi-p90d25el-b1b-25l-easi-tronic-solo-microwave-74-99-argos-1520685

Why do people expire everything... this is and will be still on.

What was the price on the shelf label ??

£39.99! Looks like someone told the programmer it's £39.99 and half price! However shelf label says £79.99 now half price at £39.99.

Should also add they had about 15 boxes on shelf.

I got this microwave a couple of weeks ago at £39.99. A good basic microwave for a good price. Not sure that I would have paid the "full" price of £79.99 for it though.

Back in stock

back in stock online and also have stock in my local store (Worthing)

Can't add to basket online...

I bought this last time it came around, well worth the money.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and I didn't realise that it's not a 'real' 20L microwave - I feel a bit conned now. It takes a full size plate and a large casserole dish though, so not all bad - I'm still happy with it for the price. Internal dimensions are 28w 19.5h 30d (16.4L).

I think this the one we have, its very good, easy to do the time also, I thought it was fab actually!. i'd highly recommend it, not sure why so many grumbles on this thread!.

Same here,

Bought one a month ago at the same price, does the job fine, not a real 20L though.

Good looking and good price.

Same dimensions as a 17L microwave we have...... what a con calling this a 20L.

So did I, had it a year or so maybe - not that big but seems fine.

Bought this (black version ) 2 weeks ago. Good basic microwave with no frills and has reasonable reviews. Is about 17litres. Did a little research and found that majority of current microwaves have a magnatron made in China, which is pxss poor and will only 1-2 years max- just check out forums ( my previous Panasonic lasted just 19 months till the magnatron went up in smoke). Micro's around 15-20 years old are excellent runners and seem to last much longer. So why pay £100 odd pounds when this will hopefully last just as long!!

Current microwave cost £17.50 from Argos (from a deal on here) and was bought 4 & 1/2 years ago..... Still works fine.

If you bought it with a card, give them a copy of the statement with the relevant purchase and they should be able to check their records to prove you did in fact buy it from them. It's more hassle but they should do this (i.e. legally they are obliged to accept the statement as proof of purchase).
