hot!

Has been this price for a while. Heck I even remember seeing this last year at this price. So not much of a deal to me.

Just to prove a point take a look here.

I'm sure there's older posts if I could be bothered to dig deeper.

Nonsense post - its not been at this price for a while - it was on offer last time - its now on offer again. This site is to tell people when the offers are on - therefore its a deal - and a very good one.

Now the trolls been dealt with - i got it last year and its great. I still have no idea how to program etc - but an 800w Stainless steel 20L microwave is a bargain. Love the big handle - always had the little push buttons.

Get some stainless steall wipes though - marks show if touched. But as a rule -you only touch the handle - and that does not mark.

P;lease stop the bickering this is just a microwave

I paid around this price £30-40 about 2 years ago. Nice little microwave and excellent quality at this price.

This is almost always on offer at this price. Still good value for money though.

Paid this price 2 years ago, microwave interior went rusty after about 17 months.

Yep definitely a lot of microwave for your money. Even smaller capacity microwaves easily go for more. They used to do a black version also if I remember correctly for the same price.

You're right, this isn't on offer at this price very often...

Bought this in June for the same price. I think it is a good bit of kit and good value. I'm not saying its not a good deal (so don't start) but you don't need to hotfoot it to Sainsbury's in the rain to get one, take your time.

Bought this for the same price in Spring. Great little microwave and looks smart too, would recommend it. Didn't want to spend more than around £40 on a microwave and this seemed to be about the best in that price range.

Is this the Which recommended one - can anyone tell me if it has a timer function on it
obviously not while cooking !

The description would suggest it does have that function:
"Packing 800W of power it's also programmable, so you can enjoy a hot meal when you get home."

got one of these. it works ok but the power rating of 800w is very dubious.had another 800w micro before this one and it was quick.this one needs about 20 percent more cooking time than ajy instructions state for anything.not a deal breaker but it could be quicker

Read through the previous deals. There's a HUKD user complaining about the timer feature and the insides being painted rather than stainless steel.

What's the capacity on one of those? Any links to the microwave?

Was showing an interest until I read your comment. Would save me a wasted journey if an owner could indicate if the interior is painted / non-stainless steel (I assume this could mean it is just the exterior that is stainless?). Thanks.

The interior is painted I'm afraid. Plenty of reviews say so and a few users on here have commented on previous deals that the interior is painted and not stainless steel. There's also complaints about the rusting on their own website.

OK, suppose a stainless interior was over-optimistic at £40!. Thanks for prompt info.

Thanks. If it wasn't for the fact for a tenner more you could get branded microwaves of similar size and power I'd be interested. There's the following microwaves available at Currys right now:

Sharp R272KM Black 800w 20ltr £54.99
Panasonic NN-E281MMBPQ Silver 800w 20ltr £59.99
Kenwood K25MW12 white 900w 25ltr £59.99

What I would really like is a family sized microwave with two control knobs, one for power, and one for time. Can't stand all these buttons!

Do you have strong opinions about what choice of microwave people should buy Didy - only you're very prolific on the subject, the ones you've posted don't have a grill so not really comparable with the Aldi deal imo

Nope sorry not an expert or even slightly knowledgeable about microwaves.Just going by the brand and similar power levels and capacity and hoping maybe it will help someone who is worried about the poor reviews on the Sainsburys one. The Aldi one looks good for the money but I'd like to know more about it and there's not much details on it so I'm looking for others.

There's this Logik one with grill at Currys on for £54.99. Never heard of the brand myself and can't find any reviews.

Yep, had one for 14 months, used most days and the inside is beginning to bubble now.... great price but I hate having to replace things so soon.

Hot from me and bought. Cheap as Micro Chips!!

From what I've read, it's not as easy anymore - you can't just return in the shop, the product now has to be returned by post. Maybe someone who has recent experience of Aldi returns can clarify?

I have this microwave and only paid £39.99 when I purchased. Excellent and easy to use.

I'm tempted to get a mic back but it's a space thing for me. The Aldi one has caught my eye though however the plastic outer of my breadmaker is starting to warp so not sure I have a lot of trust tbh. Am I just unlucky?

To be honest I'm struggling to find one which isn't painted without spending the earth. I have had Sharp/Asda/Panasonic. All suffered the same fault.

utter crap ours packed up before 12 months. replaced with Russell hobs one which has now rusted inside. were getting aldi one today.

Tempted by the aldi one but returns can be a pain if there's a problem, I had a nightmare with a faulty laptop.

Gutted.
Went to order now and OOS.
