What people are beginning to realise is that having the oven on for 1 hr costs approx £3. No wonder they are shunning home cooking.

Oooops...... website is under maintenance, normal service resumes at 4am

saw it at my local sainsbury in Edgware for £15

£16.66 online

An oven element uses round about 2 - 3Kw, plus it's not on all the time, it cuts in and out. Are you seriously saying you are paying £1 per unit for your electricity? If so perhaps you should start shopping around.

Good price, thanks

Heat added I was just about to spend £50 on one from asda

Mmmm made a nice tagine over the weekend but used a big pan. Might have to grab one of these if I spot one at this price. Hot!

Tagines used in healthy cooking . Voted hot .

The asda one is different, essentially just a ceramic slow-cooker!

Ooo saw these the other day but were only 1/3 off, might get one for this price. did buy some Pyrex mixing bowls, jug and some really solid cake tins for 70% off.

Stupid Question I know, but what the he*l is this?

Widely used for Moroccan dishes. This is a cracking price, I paid £30 for my last one and it cracked after about the 10th use. This has got to be worth a go at this price. Cheers

This will tempt you to try it:

....with another 'Get Deal' link that doesn't. When will posters realise there is a separate way of posting offers that are not 'linkable'?

Scanned at £16.33 in my local. So disappointed!

2 left in St. Johns, Worcester branch but £16.33
There were some other pieces for £4.80; small bowls with lids, but that's it really.

Looks tasty. How is he heating that up? Is it like heating it up on a hob? Trying to work out if you could do that on an electric ceramic cooker.

Haven't watched the video, but to cook a tagine on the hob it is best (if not essential) to use a heat diffuser. This is basically a metal plate that is perforated the tagine sits on top. Easy to find (and relatively cheap). If you are using in the oven, then remember to season it before use.

To get that delicious morrocan flavour try combining the flavours of onions, chicken thighs (skin on) olives, preserved lemon (and fresh) and your spices and herbs.

Yeah just place it directly on top of the hob.
