Sainsburys links seem to be a bit wacky, but all the meal options are on the website / instore, too many to list here

Nice one pal! That's the dinner dates sorted. Back to the footie...

Kudos to mumbojumbo, thanks for that.
Although it would appear that you have far too much time on your hands.

Very tempted to duck out at lunchtime and grab some of this. Seems super price!

Whatever you do don't get the Veg Biryani...truly revolting!!

All of those mains, and only two are vegetarian

@ Boony, great deal this! I can't for the life of me remember which one of these I had a while back. It was very good though. Can you pls recommend?! :o)

Chinese
Indian
Mexican
Levi Roots

When did Levi Roots become a Country?

As a proportion, not that dissimilar to the percentage of the population who are vegetarians?

It's a little, small, small island in the Caribbean, where all the the birds sing reggae reggae tunes, and the rivers flow with reggae reggae sauce. Look it up!

I emailed Sainsburys a while ago because the vegetarian selection tended to be non-existent. At least this time there are two things. It is still pretty annoying. Non-veggies also eat vegetarian food.

who cares about vegeterians and their cultish eating habits, we are born omnivores!

Not all. If it didn't have a face I'm not interested!

The Thai red chicken curry is lovely.

fine for lunch but they are far too small for a main meal (IMHO!)

I bought four mains in there the other night because it had 4 for £10 on the shelf sticker but nowhere could I find out what the actual deal was (Sydenham Sainsburys - the worst in the world) as they did not have any pronmo boards up for it so I missed out on the sides. Gutted. They did only charge me the £10 though even though I didn't complete the deal so to speak.

The new-style microwave pots (teryaki and coconut prawn curry, plus a few others) are particularly good.

I think Lidl's Chcken Jalfrezi and Tikka Massala are excellent - lots of chicken, great taste and only £1.79
the rice in them is good too, wish they did more than these 2, but honestly very recommended and they are a proper main meal size

Great - time to stock up again.

It was a different offer last week-I too bought 4 mains for £10-no sides were in the offer so you didnt miss out:)

Yawn... I'm a beer'ist and I'm going to email them demanding that they desist from this crazy concept of catering to 99% of the population that isn't like me, and instead focus more of their marketing efforts on the tiny subsection of society that makes the conscious decision to go against their genetic history and wing it alone. Less Meat, More John Smiths is our motto!
Flippin' vegetabilists...

... idiocy personified

From my experiences their Indian is rubbish and Chinese variable. However, their Thai and Levi Roots is excellent

Is this deal in all Sainsburys or just in the "big ones"?

Not quite. Idiocy is the sandalista's who insist on enforcing their barmy agenda on the rest of us, who quite enjoy being the omnivores we've evolved to be, and would be happy to treat the veggie brigade with nothing more than amused indifference if only they weren't so righteous about it. You wanna hug a tree, go right ahead. Just make sure you don't tread on my barbeque where I'm grilling a nice slice of cow

I just checked and its not in mine in east London, maybe just the big ones!

The Chicken Tikka Massala is quite good, as is the Chicken Satay (tried these last time), the Crispy Chilli Beef however, was a bit of a disappointment, gonna order these now, thanks OP

Not really, idiocy is ignoring a perfectly good food source and deriding others that choose to partake. Plus vegetarians smell, and are 87% more likely to be ugly, fact.

EDIT: Also, many more insect lives are destroyed to grow veg than animal lives for a steak.

Why did they stop producing the Phal on its own minus the rice??! It was so yummy.
