Previously posted non-taste the difference which I liked and turned an additional joint into steak burgers. This is more but giving it a try as it's taste the difference.

Toprump, Topside and Silverside joints available. Would personally slow cook top rump or topside.

Posted instructions I used which made it really tender and juicy.

Cooking instructions:

IMPORTANT: Remove joint from packaging and allow to breathe at room temperature for up to 30mins.

Preheat oven to 200c / fan 180c / Gas Mark 6. Season the meat with a pinch of salt & pepper and brush with 5ml of oil. Seal the joint all over in a hot pan. Place into a roasting dish on a layer of root vegetables with 1/2 pint of water.

During Cooking: Place the roasting dish into a pre-heated oven at 200c / fan 180c / Gas Mark 6 for 20 minutes and then turn the oven down to 180c / fan 160c / Gas Mark 4 for 18 (medium-rare) – 20 (medium)minutes per 500g. Baste the joint every 15 minutes.

IMPORTANT: After Cooking: Leave joint to rest for 10-20 minutes. Check food is piping hot.

These are 1.7kg and I like it just below medium-rare so I cooked it for 50 minutes but an hour to 70 mins would probably be perfect.

The top rump in particular can be excellent. We had one last week and it was almost melt-in-the-mouth tender.
