Sainsbury's Taste The Difference Irish Cream 1L £3.75 @ Sainsburys Instore

Found 8th Jan 2013
As the title suggests, 1 litre of Sainsburys TTD Irish Cream for £3.75 instore. Was originally £15, and had been knocked down to £7.50 and then to £3.75. Still showing at £15 online.

Found at my local store in Nottingham this evening, there were only a handful of bottles left after I picked up four. I've checked and don't think this has been posted before.

Please let me know if anybody has found this in any other stores. Is an absolute bargain and I'd hope it's national.

Had this stuff before and I prefer it to Baileys, I paid a lot more for it last time I had it though.

Please drink responsibly.

Wow will check out my local wonder if it'll include Local stores though...

Not in Scotland though. X)

But can you taste the difference?

From experience, with Tesco more so, but Sainsburys as well, these kind of deals aren't found in local or express stores. Can anybody else elaborate on this further?

What, me?

I've posted a deal in good faith. I'm not the sort to visit websites and post untruths. Whilst I am not a regular here, I've been a member for over two years now and always have this community in mind when I spot a deal. Unfortunately, I don't always have the time to post deals, but couldn't pass up on this. I don't understand what anybody would gain in making things up on a site like this.

I saw a deal, I thought of HotUKDeals members, especially considering I've picked up a few excellent bargains courtesy of this site over recent weeks. In saying that, people are entitled to hold opinions.

Thought it would be that, has that kicked in now then?

This is as good as Baileys but tastes slightly different. Had I not had 6 bottles of Baileys I'd be all over this like a tramp on hot chips!

no idea. it was just a joke.

I apologise if that is the case. Blame the Irish Cream, yeah?

Now that is a flipping good deal. If I wasn't on a diet I'd buy 10. As I am, I'll only buy 9.

Personally baileys isn't a really original cream it's just the main brand that went global with their liquer and over priced at that.
in ireland/england the brands i know of which are of cheaper.

Irish Mist
Irish Meadows
Irish Knights
Carolans

There is some others mostly are made with wiskey and fortified wine and cream, some are made with wiskey and cream it reguardless most of them taste nearly identical to baileys although baileys now comes in different flavours and the other manufacuters haven't attempted this.anyway never the less heat added i will check and hopefully it will be down in price in my local however would be probably sold out, would go nice in some of my proper coffee

It's spelt 'Sheridan's' and comes in a different bottle!

Agree with this, Carolans is good. I'd recommend that to anybody (And Baileys is over priced)

home made Baileys is scrummy and much cheaper

this was £9.00 let week i think it was that one

Not to be rude, however I disagree that the ones which get their kick from Fortified Wine taste identical, there's a reason they can't put the term 'Liqueur' on it, at least up here in Scotland, because it isn't one.

Then again, I'm not a big fan of irish cream liqueurs, personally I think any cream-based Cocktail you make yourself, such as a White Russian or a Daiquiri is much better, especially given you can control the ratios of alcohol, cream, liqueurs, fruits and whatnot.

:DFirstly Irish Mist is a whiskey-so def not akin to Baileys (but they are nice together to give it a kick!)

Meadows has cheap WHITE wine mixed with your drink ( very little whiskey added) amd imho is yuck.

Carolans -much better and made with mead and whiskey, but still not great.

Irish cream-have you made this up?

Best substitute for Baileys is St Brendans-much cheaper YET made with Bushmills whiskey (made in Derry)

Irish and in the drinks trade

£15 in Paignton

sooooo................lots of heat - has anyone else got it at this price?

£15 near me

Hanley, Stoke on Trent. £15
Newcastle-u-Lyme. £15

£15.00 in Trowbridge store!!

I don't see where you got that from although the drinks are made with irish cream, unless your talking about the drink i called irish knights which you can buy from asda.in england not sure about in northern ireland.

As for St Brendans yes i know about them their in the waterside of Derry were i live funnily enough...although you don't see St Brendans on the shelf much this weather i haven't seen it in any of the chill offlicenses for a while now and the last time i seen it price wise it wasn't much different from baileys

Macc £15 too, confirmed at checkout

Cold. Just tried in Huddersfield and it came up £15. How did this get so much heat? Did 500 or so people even bother to check if it worked in their store?

Fish'n'Chips

I think St Brendans is best.

I think a tipple of this type based on Bushmills sounds absolutely heavenly. Shame the name makes it sounds like Dunnes Stores own brand or something.
