Bought this instore, it's online too. Cans contain mixed Chickpeas, Soya Bean, Black Eyed Beans, Pinto Beans, Red Kidney Beans, Adzuki Beans

Normally £1.22 per can, but they are included in the 5 for £2 deal on canned goods at the moment, bargain!

Ridiculously overpriced at 1.22 a can and hardly a deal at 5 for 2 considering Asda/Morrisons do 4 for a £1 very often.

1 is expensive but 5 is cheap, i like it!

heat added

seems like a good deal for 5

Beans, beans good for your heart.......

very good, will b going there today :o)

£1.22 a tin...............Its about time this over inflating prices was stopped.

Looking on their website not all the pulses in the offer are £1.22,red kidney beans are 45p for example.

Just buy basic ones at 25p a can, even cheaper in other supermarkets

+1

This is BS!!!

We typically get these cans for about 40p each

Since when did they go to £1.22

But as long as mugs fall for these cheap tricks, they will continue these underhand tactics!

Sure I usually pay about 70p for mixed ones?

Look in the ethnic aisles at supermarkets, canned beans are so much cheaper.

In ASDA the chick peas/black eye beans/berlotti beans/butterbeans/kidney beans etc are all 25p a can.

Even in Sainsbury's this is likely to be the case, I certainly know it is for chick peas as the KTC brand are 30something pence.

That's a farting bad deal.

I totally agree about buying value kidney beans- we always do. However, soya beans and adzuki are typically more expensive, I had a look on the asda website, and they don't seem to stock either (and they are not present in their tins of mixed pulses). So I still think this is a good deal if you want this sort of mixed pulse (and you don't want to open 5 tins/ packets)

someone speaking sense at last.asda products are cheaper for a reason.

Adzuki beans are very nice, kind of like baby kidney beans. Superb for making rice and peas.
These are hard to find elsewhere, so 5 for £2 is a great price.

I use pretty much any bean in a chilli, the mixed ones usually give a nice variety then I add extra kidney beans to flesh it out.

That's ridiculously overpriced.

Tesco were doing 3 cans for £1 quite recently, but don't know whether this is still the case....

Agreed. The saving on their other tinned beans isn't fantastic and, as has been said, one could buy cheaper elsewhere BUT the inclusion in the offer of this specific product makes the deal a good 'un and I've re-stocked with these "mixed pulse" cans (re-stocked because this same offer crops up from time to time).

On 17th November the can was priced at £1.11 and included in the "5 for £2" offer but the SEL showed £1.22 on 8th December when this offer was also on.

I think this deal ends tomorrow but at the Sale Sainsbury's 5 tins of chick peas scanned at 5p. The deal was going through twice.

I tested it a couple of times and it was 5p on both occasions. 10p for 10 tins?
