Eh?

Sainsbury's have great quality stuff though, especially meats. The trick is just to buy the stuff on sale. 100x better than anything asda sell.

Even with your 15% discount your still going to whine?

Sainsburys has a great range. Basics if your skint, regular for normal people and Taste the difference for toffs

Best hope your manager doesnt read this then or you wont be working there much longer!!!

Sainsburys is fairly equal to tescos for most things I find (I shop in both) - and they win hands down for their donuts :-)

They must be so happy to have you when you talk so highly of them.

went shopping yesterday at tescos and:

coke 3 for £3 (same at asda)
pringles £1.99 (BOGOF)
kettle chips £1.69 (cheaper) and 2 for £2

also pop into my local savers and their lynx deodorant is only £1.99 per can, shower gel £1.

it pays to shop around!

I always consider Sainsburys to be best for ciders, lovely range. Had some good bargains on offer there too, normal shopping tends to be more expensive though

Plough shopping lists into mysupermarket.com and that'll show who's the cheapest overall each week. I'm sure everyone is already aware of it but it's worth reminding. I've been doing this every month for a year now and Sainsburys always turns out cheapest for me.

very true apart from the INCREASE in the price of 1 litre bottles of spirits from £12 to £15.

Lets make one thing clear. No one is forcing anyone to shop in a supermarket. Loads shop in Waitrose and that is not the cheapest supermarket by a mile.

Overall I am happy to shop around. If there are no great deals on what I buy I will shop local. Oh the Hula hoops are £1.45 BOGOF. I think a lot of prices have already risen in vat.

Overall I wouldn't expect huge bargains at crimbo. Supermarkets know you are not going to do crimbo shop in 3-4 shops. Far too much hassle.
