Sainsbury's Vanilla Ice Cream 900ml Madagascan Vanilla £1.50 @ Sainsbury's

Found this much better than the price indicated. Made with real vanilla, milk and cream.

Pour some Elmlea on it and it sets like that Arctic chocolate sauce used to - but actually tasty!!

vanilla ice cream.is so good for relieving heartburn!

Thanks for the post, but made with real vanilla!
"Ground Madagascan Vanilla Bean" is only added for decoration as it's already had the flavour sucked out. Contains "flavouring" and tonnes of other stuff, like "Carob Gum, Guar Gum; Emulsifier: Mono- and Diglycerides of Fatty Acids"

who cares wats in it long as it tastes good lol

Exactly! I prefer full fat Coke to Diet - even if it has 13 teaspoons of sugar per can. Tastes lovely when I have it.

If I bought cheap 3 litre bottles and drank it like water I wouldn't enjoy it so much. And I'd have a lot more fillings and blubber than I already do!

If you let a good tub of ice cream eg hagan daas completely melt it will just look similar to a milk shake.

If you let the cheap ones melt, you end up with a tub of water and loads of congealed fat and chemical scum floating on top.

Also the cheap ice creams are heavily aerated to bulk them out since ice cream is sold by volume not by weight and air doesn't have to be listed on the ingredients

Since seeing all this on TV, I always get the best quality ice cream U can afford.

Morrison's also have their own Ice cream reduced to £1 (several flavours)

I also believe everything I see on TV! I literally couldn't give a toss if anyone goes for this. Ice cream isn't a food to get pious about. It's all about taste for me. I don't fall for the marketing spiel but I'm sure they are chuffed to have unpaid schills.

Haagen Das and Ben and Jerry's are, IMO, one of the most overrated style over taste and champion of marketing

Says the guy posting a deal about Morrison's baps - that are completely natural!

Not true.

None of those ingredients your mention are flavourings they are there for the texture, the flavouring in this is may well be artificial, but the beans are all the real thing:

Ingredients

Skimmed Cows' Milk, Sugar, Coconut Oil, Glucose Syrup, Skimmed Cows' Milk Concentrate, Dextrose, Whey Powder (Cows' Milk), Stabilisers: Carob Gum, Guar Gum; Emulsifier: Mono- and Diglycerides of Fatty Acids; Flavouring, Ground Madagascan Vanilla Bean, Caramelised Sugar Syrup, Colours: Beetroot Red, Beta-carotene.

You must have misread my comment, do you see the part where I say "...and tonnes of other stuff. You have jumped the gun and assumed other stuff refereed to flavourings. As regard to I'm quite sure "flavouring" is a flavouring, as that's all synthetic flavourings need to be listed as
The "Ground Madagascan Vanilla Bean" are just left overs from the vanilla extract business. Glad I could clear that up for you.
