Only  2 weeks to wait to get this deal then by which times others will be the same price or cheaper. Would  be better off posting deals that people can actually buy now.

I for one am happy to receive the heads up.
    Thank OP.
    Have some heat.

Better off growing your own. Only takes a couple months and can usually get 2-3 decent sized potatoes

I spent 30£ to grow my own strawberry's and after 6 months I am glad say managed to get 2

As mentioned above, the potatoes look very nice. Same for the white and red cabbage as well and they're good sizes, not the teeny-tiny ones. My nearest Sainsbury's (Chiswick) had plenty of stock

Yes, I'm pretty impressed with the size of the potatoes. Last Christmas my Sainsbury's had small ones, very few big ones in the bag! Plus, I think they were 29p per 2.5kg too.

I'd hope they'd beat Sainsbury's price, used to always but this year I'm not too sure!

Go on Sainsbury's! Fantastic value. Sick of all the supermarkets increasing their prices on what feels like a daily basis. (edited)

Because they are based on prices at time of writing the article possibly?
Usual veg prices are way up.
And in any case, the main costs are the meat etc, which have rocketed in price. (edited)

A good time to stock up on veg for the next few months at those prices

Potato variety is Nectar, for those who are interested.

"Osprey" is the variety in my local Sainsbury's.

Oddly they had 1kg of carrots at 23p yesterday but they were 45p at checkout but they did adjust the price for me, kiwi at six for 70p also. Nice bit of deflation, there. Makes my carrot soup even cheaper than usual.

I was under the impression that the 23p per kilo price was on loose carrots.

Last year after Christmas I was able to get bags of free veg from my local asda. Hope they do something similar again

    No cauliflower

Tesco just cut cauliflowers to 60p through to Christmas. Not a bad price....just not as cheap as last year

Empty potato pallets at mine at lunchtime on Sunday so proving popular. Plenty of the other items.

Went to my local Sainsbury's at opening time this morning. Stacks of 19p potatoes - very nice they are too. "Osprey" is the variety in my local.

They also had White Cabbage at 19p each. (edited)
