Carefully crafted in the heart of France, our Saint Gérmont Reserve Vodka is made using French wheat and crystal-clear water from the Charente Region. It is distilled 5 times for purity.

Just got this from ALDI and I must say it's an excellent vodka, on par if not better than the Goose at less than half the price, Bargain!

70cl bottle for £13.99 from Aldi. Bottle and cork are identical shape to Grey Goose and the contents is actually better IMO.

Thanks OP must try it!

Cheaper than the Lidl version "Ignis French Grain Vodka, 70cl" that's £15.99 (sis was told this vodka is only in stock for the festive period - came out last year around the same time) hotukdeals.com/dea…280

She gave the Lidl/Ignis vodka a hearty thumbs up and called it "amazing!" - her favourite is Ciroc. Sent her the link to this too!

Just realised you can order it online via the Aldi site as well (free delivery) which is even better

Had a rummage around to see if I could find reviews - absolutely zilch*, so I'm guessing Aldi have just released this to compete with the Grey Goose/Belvedere clones out there.

There's also Kirkland Signature Vodka (French version - *not* US) which gets rave comparisons to Grey Goose, many prefer it to GG - though you'd need to be near a Costco.

*Edit: Actually, there's an online review on the Aldi site from six hours ago -

Excellent vodka, not as good as a grey goose but for the price you can’t go wrong"

Well, the grey goose factory is in cognac., Which is on the Charente!

I seriously doubt that a budget supermarket vodka will compete with the over hyped Grey Goose

Try it for yourself before having an opinion. Grey Goose is unaged spirit so why should it cost £40 a bottle, other than heavy marketing manipulation?

I forgot to mention when it scanned it said £15.99 reduced to £13.99 so this must be a promotional price. It's located on the aisle behind the every day spirits. Good stuff, only complaint is it goes down too easy, I drank 3/4 of the bottle last night. It's 6:50am now and I feel fine, no hangover!

For anyone interested, the Lidl variant (Ignis) has won a Gold Award and the price has dipped now to £13.99 - must be to compete with this Aldi vodka (thanks to kelzo23, who commented on the Ignis/Lidl thread today).

@retro_pie Sorry, I must have missed your earlier comment - I'm guessing you're referring to the Lidl voddie's new price as well...must be an ongoing price, as your comment's nearly a week old.
