A good offer for those who use tomatoes a lot in their cooking. They are around £1.50 per kg. These work out at 78p per kg

Never know why they call them salad tomatoes since they'd be horrible in a salad...
For a cheaper and more tomatoey taste just use tap water instead

Were they reduced,or still full price !!!!!
Random question, but can you use these to make chutney?
BLAND.
Taste like a soggy, sludgy ball of water but it’s because tomatoes are out of season!
I bought 8 pack and cored them then dried them in the oven with seasoning etc then bottled in oil, quite nice as sun dried tomatoes. Tastier than plain ol' salad toms.

No, I think you'll be better off using a saucepan!

The recipe I found said 170c and keep door open 3inches to let moisture out. Mine were a bit over cooked, I reckon abou possibly 140c but then the recipe also said turn every 3 hours , I was turning them and flattening them every hour at higher temp.
I used salt blackpepper oregano and basil

Thanks a lot, it is great, would try them later.
Just seems a lot of energy for one packet as they shrink to almost nothing LOL, my 8 packets only half filled a quite big kilner jar
These packs are not 500g but around 400g so works shy of £1/kg which is slightly cheaper for salad tomatoes. You can get vine tomatoes at around £1.5/kg
