Dinosaur !!! Worst name ever for a phone !!

voted hot for the price, will be ideal for a backup phone.
personally, I will never buy Chinese phone, rather pay a bit more to get a brand that can give at least 12 months warranty in UK and not having to send the phone to China.
just bought the Moto G 4g 2016 model for £143

thats not a sale i bought this for my son for £81.00 with accessories , pre launch

Pre launch and sale are two very different things. Pre launch prices do tend be cheaper then the standard retail price hits after launch. That would appear to be the case here and now the retail price has been reduced in a "sale"

Plus the pound was likely worth more then.

one of the low specced medium ranged processors from medium ranged MTK.

performance wise MTK 6753 is miles better than 6735....MTK helio processors are top of the range though.
also MTK 6753 processor can support offline GPS maps navigation....I pretty much doubt it with 6735.....

They called it dinosaur because of the ancient CPU

Prices for Chinese import phones are going to get less and less attractive due to our Brexiteer friends...

*cough* overcompensating *cough* much.

I joke. wish cpu was faster.

Any news on the Cubot S9?

my son loves dinosaurs

I'm waiting for the forthcoming Motostegosaurus coming soon.

Still cheaper and better value than anything you buy in Europe though.

Not really. Up until everything was ruined you could get great deals from amazon Spain, Germany and Italy because of the strong pound. Brexit is a massive issue for tech addicts.

Sure, buying from Europe will be more expensive because of the weaker pound, but you were talking about buying Chinese import phones from China.

sorry but the redmi note 3 pro is the phone to buy from china. streets ahead of the rest.

It's not the voters to blame - it's simple market manipulation and the creation of opportunity for those who know how to play the game.

Absolutely nothing at all has changed...yet.

The pound is weaker against all currencies so imports are more expensive from anywhere. It's not rocket science, and things certainly have already changed.

You really don't have a clue what you're talking about.

Show me a phone that's better value that say a China imported Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro (3GB/32GB) in the UK. That costs ~£125-£130 at current exchange rates.

Go on Einstein.

When you take into account LTE support and warranty there are plenty of options. Both the Z3C and LG G3 have been available for £150. That's not really my point though. My point is that the cost of importing any device will be higher with the weakness of Stirling. Just a fact.

My only support for Brexit was to boot out Brussels.

I'm all for all of the other positives of being part of Europe (that's not the EU by any stretch of the imagination) with our own elected representatives doing things on our behalf.

That said, I don't think they do a wonderful job either but at least we've one set less to think about now.

In my own circumstances, being in the EU was much easier and simpler due to my line/type of work, however, I do consider that the bigger picture of restoring (more) democracy is a better long term benefit.

On the other side of the coin - the EU has a very poor track record for their economy (particularly Southern Europe) and the Euro has dropped very badly and is predicted to drop even further by the end of this year. Deutsche Bank predicts it'll be US$0.85 for one Euro at the end of 2016..that was before Brexit took place. We'll just have to wait and see if the "experts" were correct about that one...

Stop being sensible and logical about it all and start getting hyped, emotional and irrational, that's what we're supposed to be doing now.

Of course the price of imports are higher if the pound is weaker. You don't need 2 brain cells to rub together to know that X)

If your reading comprehension was better you'd see that I said that an imported China phone was still better value than what you can buy in the UK/Europe.

Seriously once comrade Jeremy gets in it'll all be fine. British Mobile Phone Corporation, British Android Tablet Corporation, British SD Card Corporation and British TPU Phone Case Corporation will all make high quality goods with only minor tax payer subsidies. What's more the workers will own the means of production brother!
