Prepacked side of salmon. 1kg portion for £10. Usual price for 1kg of salmon fillets range from £14-£16 at other supermarkets.

Saw these on Monday, same price at Lidl at the moment, I chose the Lidl one, this time.

These sides are great for curing and smoking (when possible)

This is the one I cured on Monday for 18 hours, smoked today for 12 hours with silver birch wood dust. After sitting in the fridge overnight to let smoke even out. I will slice it and vacuum pack it tomorrow. Will keep for up to 2 weeks in fridge, 6 months in freezer. But it all goes much quicker than that.

I was looking at them today its £10 per kg as you mentioned above and £15 kg on the fresh counter. And pre packed ones are better trimmed ie less fat and skin on the inside
Personally would prefer with skin
I just bought a kilo at Asda Fish Counter for £13. Funny how their individual portions are charged at £17.64 per kilo and you can just buy a kilo and ask them to cut in how many ever pieces you want! Good price at Morrisons have some heat!

Good deal but Went in Monday 14 October and was told deal has Expired now , will have to wait to the pre Xmas whole salmon offers now
