Stick these on, no one will notice!
Big fan of Salomon boots. If you have wide feet I recommend looking at Columbia as an alternative.

Hot deal, thanks op
Thanks, ordered. Hope that size and wearing comfort will be good.

Yes mine split there and salmon replaced. Did not find mine that waterproof so got some gortex lowa boots which keep all the water out
Got them two months ago when they were at this price, happy so far, walking through puddles and shallow stream without getting feet wet. They are a little bit to warm when temperature outside is around or over 20 comparing to a pair of North Face I used to have few years ago but they did not have Gore-Tex.

I got in touch with them but they refused to help.
will not buy from them again as I realise now the issue is common in their boots.
I definitely recommend these. I walk through streams and puddles with them without getting my toes wet. Was walking around a very wet Church Stretton earlier today! I keep mine clean and use the waterproof spray they recommend, guessing that helps?

Agree with an earlier post, these get warm in hot weather, but I generally use my Merrell Moab Vents in summer.
I tried some Addidas Terrex (their walking brand) boots recently and they're excellent too, really comfy and not too hot:l - £95ish:

Would like to try the terrex but never seem to be on sale when I need em
Bought them via here a few months ago at a slightly cheaper price. Great boots for light use and Munro’s in the summer.
No issues so far and feet never been anything other than dry.

I just trainers up the fields, I never find these things to be Waterproof, then they always split again on the part that moves by your toes. Worst of all these things give me Blisters like mad.... yeah so I just buy a few pairs of Trainers, and cycle through them as the dry lol.

Waterproof boots, even fairly cheap ones, should keep your feet dry. I hate getting wet feet while out walking so trainers really wouldn't do the job for me. I always like to have the padding around the ankles too.
Bought these last time, been very good, only negative for me is they are a bit slippery on wet surfaces.
Are people re-waterproofing their Gore-Tex boots?

Agreed. They have a two year lifespan tops before leaking, Not resilient enough IMO.
Size 10 is £119.87
always good to see people in the office wearing proper hiking shoes and boots, in case the stairs suddenly esperience a landslide
Are they really worth this? You can get some equivalent Karrimor ones at £35 that are both water and windproof.

Or, they have injuries and like the stability? Or they consider it to be part of their image at work, that they are outdoorsy? Or they simply like them?

My Salomon trainers did the same after only one month of wear. I got in touch with the retailer who offered to refund or replace. No point in replacing as new ones would do the same so opted for refund and got to keep the old ones. I still wear them but they have big holes now on each side where they crease and nearly fit for the bin at 9 months old. Still, they are the comfiest trainers I’ve ever owned.

Worth it at half price for the comfort but don’t expect them to last. My work colleague has a similar pair of trainers and his are starting to go in the same place. He got more wear than me but still less than a year old.

Got some of their similar approach shoes (lower cut), can confirm. Lasted about 9 months before this happened

I don't think I'll bother with goretex next time as it's so much more expensive and doesn't last

Karrimor is a sports direct brand. If you want shoes for taking Harry and Olivia to school in the rain then yes Karrimors are fine. If you want to hike the fells in the driving rain then Karrimors will not cut it. Horses for courses.
