I bought these in the high street for £154.99 earlier today (more fool me) after trying about 10 different shoes - given the breath of ones I tried these were by far the best (for me, wide front foot and slimmer heels) with a good solid sole. Thinking they were well priced in context with the other shop I went to and the other boots I bought them. Got them home and did due diligence... only to find them for £120 in lots of places and £93 at Snor and Rock.
Whilst they are not "cheap" walking boots they are Gore Tex and very nice indeed.

7.5, 8.5, 9.0, 9.5 and 11 available at time of posting

Bought a pair of these about 3 years ago to do a 54 mile trek which took 18 hours, I wore these for the duration. I highly recommend them, fantastic walking boot! Heat for price too.

I've had them since the gadget show review - superb boots.

excellent boot . gotta pair already . good price. just buy a size up than normal. hard toe case will wreck your toes otherwise

Great boots, you can get them for about £80 at Field & Trek, but not very often.

had mine replaced due to letting water in great when in puddles etc but over a wet field where shocking and sold them on, very comfortable though and look good too

bigmo_uk - can you not return the ones you bought today and order these ones?

Same here, comfort can't fault them.
From reading around it's the fact they use gore-tex that's the problem, they aren't properly waterproof for things like dewy paths in the morning your feet are soaked in a few minutes of walking and basically useless for that.

I spent 18 hours walking the Brecon Beacons in mine, the conditions were damp/wet to say the least, my feet stayed bone dry.

And.....They are one of these best in Ankle protection boots

Price match with go outdoors and get a further 10% off £9.30 :))

Just put a price match request with go outdoors great boot on my 3rd pair

Reviews on go outdoors not great, lots of returns due to leaking. Shame as need a new pair of quality boots.

Did the Oxfam Trailwalker in 2012 in a pair of these. 100km in 24 hours. Had one pair which did leak after 6 months training. Salomon replaced them. The event itself, in the replacement pair, it rained for 15 of the 24 hours and my feet were dry and as comfy as could be expected! Good price for great boots!

I agree, I do like to support local shops/stores but when you are talking about £60, well that just too much!

The issue is that gore-tex tends to "puncture" easily, so if the membrane is broken in an unfortunate place like in toe cap or either side of laces then your boots are effectively worthless, maybe had a duff pair.

These are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn!!!
BUT after having two pairs leak on me (both refunded under warranty mind) I have opted for a different brand

Lol!

Go Outdoors will price match if u have a discount card... Is there any other shop that will price match these boots?

I'm coming from a worn out pair of Meindl Burma's (after 10years +) but have to look elsewhere as recent reviews of them say that the production quality has been reduced and the welt comes loose within the first year. shame really, as they were rock solid boots
