Tbh gore tex trail shoes are a waste of time. At this time of the year if you're a serious trail runner then regardless you're going to get wet feet. By having this shoe your feet will stay wet on your run as they don't breath well.

I have read similar comments on other forums. I think gore-tex trail shoes have their place. My local parkrun is an off-road trail (which is also reflected in the times - its one of the slowest park-run courses) - when its wet, I am always grateful for my gore-tex trainers (Pegasus Trail 3 GTX) - my feet never get wet, whereas other runners not in gore-tex do get wet feet.
I have found that if I run with wet-feet, my skin goes soft, then I get blisters etc. So am always keen to try and keep my feet dry.

However if I was running through streams etc, I can see your logic, that you want the fastest drying shoes possible. So I guess it depends on the trail, how much water there is etc.....

Yes this style appears regularly imo it's one of those shoes made for regular sales with an inflated rrp

It looks like they have just printed their look on another basic shoe

Shame, I was tempted till I read your message. I bought north face hedgehog walking shoes previously but and reading now that these have also gone down hill. Not sure where to turn now!

Bought this and been using for last few days. Walked an hour or so during yesterday’s downpour and not a single drop of water went in, and no water-logging issues either. Not sure about the negative comments, I am having absolutely no issues whatsoever. Need to wait and see about the longevity though.

Well I guess it really depends on what ground you're using then on. I do a lot of trail running and at this time of year many trails, fields etc are saturated in water/mud and in those conditions these shoes won't keep your feet dry. After all these shoes are advertised as trail running shoes. So ok if you wore them say walking on a pavement on a rainy day they may well keep your feet dry but from my perspective as a runner gore tex shoes will cause more issues than they're worth.
