I’ve got this and you spend so much time shaking the basket to make sure it cooks evenly it’s not worth it

I just returned mine, it had a fault, but even without the fault it wasn't very good. Even with the 'XL' bowl cooking enough chips for two people took like half an hour, and if you don't shake them every few minutes they burn on the outside while remaining raw inside.
I've just bought the Tefal Easyfry which is £65 on Amazon, which I've had recommended from friends who own it.

Have you tried the Tefal yet? Interested to see how it compares.

Haven't got it yet, literally only bought it last night!
large families...right, if i were to use this for our family of 4 ,i'd have to cook everything in 2 stages...
the so called non stick pan, well everything sticks, it is really annoying.
and yes, you constantly have to shake your food in order for it to be cooked evenly.
AND i got mine for 30 pounds in Asda but to be honest, i don't think it is worth it.

so cold from me.
I have tried these lower cost options but they all lack.
I bought a Phillips one which I've had for 18 months.
It's fantastic and if it ever stops working I'll get a new one the next day.

Which Phillip one? I've been looking for a good air fryer, but I have no clue which one to get.
Sorry I don't know the model number.

This is the Scottish family version I see....
I've had a Philips air fryer for five years. By far the best kitchen gadget I have ever purchased.
If anyone wants a real fryer, I can recommend these:

Takes 3 minutes to cut it off and fit a civilised plug. Which if you went to school in the last 20 years you should have had basic instruction how to do.

True say. I do like how you revised 60 seconds to 3 minutes though, I’m picturing you timing yourself at home on your fryer . And just so you know, I haven’t been to school in the last 20 years, but that’s just showing my age

Yes indeed. I needed to swap mine and timed it.

Yeah thanks Rick. Tony pointed that out haha. Adapters just make the kitchen look tacky imo. But yeah, easy transfer to a UK plug

I don't own this make but I parboil my chips then toss them in a tiny bit of oil with seasoning to taste and airfry. Perfect and very tasty. If not then it's a long cook at a low temp then higher at the end to brown - very unsatisfying.

Brown to live. Modern mains cables dont have a red wire.

I was using an adaptor while I waited for a mains plug from Amazon and it got very hot. Cut it off and put a UK plug on it is best if you buy the deep fat fryer. Otherwise its the best I have had by far.
