Salter Black Glass Electronic Kitchen Scale model 1150 £6.00 @ Morrisons

Found 7th Jan 2015
Lady in front of me at the till bought these scales earlier, noticed they rang up at £6 & thought they were decent value for the money. Can't find them on Morrison's online & not sure if specific to my local store, hopefully nationwide.
15 yr guarantee if you register them, quite sleek looking & small enough to fit in a drawer.
Handy for all the New Year diets ;-)
On sale @ Argos for £16.99.
Had around a dozen on the shelf

If they're the ones with a red display when I looked this evening they were marked up as £10 (down from £20).

Just been in morrisons! Dam!

I've got these, they were the same price in sainsburys about this time last year, they're fab, really good and the long warranty is a big bonus at that price.

20 quid on Tesco Direct but my wife assures me they're physically on sale in the shop (Tesco) for £12.
HH.

I paid £20 last month for these

thing that got me was it said half price and knocked down from £10, so it'd be £5. didnt stop me from buying them :-P

Salter have fantastic customer support, when my scales broke they replaced them no questions asked, even without the receipt. I did have to pay to ship the scales to them but that was a minor inconvenience. Voted hot!

I bought one for £10 (grrr!) a week or so ago.

I love it, its like the Knightrider of kitchen scales.

Considering the long guarantee, not bad for the price. However If you guys can hang on for a bit. You can pick them up for around £4 in Sainsburys. Like I did a few months back.
I will keep a look out.

Thought it was salted popcorn looking at the picture (_;)

Excellent scales. They show negative weight which is a really useful feature I hadn't seen previously. This means you can pile stuff on the scales, zero them and then remove a certain weight. Useful for portioning stuff up.

What type of batteries does it use and is it national? I have one from Lidl but the CR20** batteries it uses are a pain in the proverbial backside.

About 30 in Newport, South Wales.. Says £10 but scans at £6.

AAA batteries & looks like it's a National deal from the comments here.
Cheers for the heat, it's appreciated.

Cheers, much appreciated

marked at £12 in farnborough, didn't try scanning

quite a few left in Wetherby this afternoon.
Scanned at £6

Thanks very much Happy, I got a set today from my local Morrison's. The negative weight was a good feature. This allowed me to conclude an interesting fact that at the present time my left testicle is 4g heavier than my right one.

I just picked this up yesterday for £6 and they are really good! Easy and quick to use!

When my last two items broke under warranty (different companies) they ask for a receipt and then ship you a free one. So Salter is actually not very good in that you have to pay out of your pocket and wait for the time it takes to process your return before they ship you a new one.

Displayed as £10 at local morrisons but scans at £6. Good looking scale for the price.

The reason I complemented them is because after a quick email telling them the scales broke and I didn't have the receipt they agreed to replace the item free of charge. I agree - freepost would have been great.

Just rang up Morrisons in Barnsley and these are £12 now

6 at Eastbourne, 10quid in Sainsburys

4 quid in Sainsburys now , deflation is kicking in fast
