I tried this service and cant say Im overly impressed with it each watched advert gives you around 3MB of data

Sounds a bit like Ovivo to me. How do we know these people will last.

Can't really guarantee that any service will last nowadays, but I've been with them long enough to have claimed 12GB of data for very little effort and just an initial outlay of £1

I thought £2.50 as a one off cost was a bargain and the reason I've ordered one is to put in to my Huawei Mifi so I can use my tablet (and laptop) and not be restricted to using wifi at home etc. The one off cost is well worth a punt imo.

watchable adverts have severely reduced in number. I've been averaging one advert per day for the past four days.

The £1 link is sambamobile.com/mse100 which worked for me a couple of months ago.

This sound stupid but i put the code in but it still shows £5 how do i apply the code?

I put code BG2.5 in then clicked checkout and it then shows as £2.50 (hope that helps)

The £1.00 offer appears to have expired

Hope they don't go the Ovivo way, but agree with previous posters they don't want anyone to acrue more than about 60mb a day by limiting the available ads.

What network do they use? I have a Vodafone dongle.

Original Poster

Samba use Three's network. You'd have to unlock your dongle or get the Sainsbury sim (offer on he'd somewhere) as they use Vodafone.

I use this between home and the virgin underground wifi on my tablet for occasional use.

Brilliant it you don't need much data on the go for those times when you might. Definitely worth leaving in any tablet.

I just cycle through the ads while i'm at work while getting on with my work. Uses the Three network and there top up prices arn't actually that bad either. I think a friend on three said they might even be cheaper than there top up.

Thinking of getting Three's Ultimate Internet SIM 200 1 month plan for my actual mobile though.

Hey kozif, when did you order the 250 SIM? Have you received it? It appears some Samba users not receiving sim card orders recently on their facebook page.

It seems like they're refunding customers who joined in April and refunding the cost of the dongle.

Samba closing down. Thanks to all our customers.Dear Customers,You may … Samba closing down. Thanks to all our customers.Dear Customers,You may have heard via the website, a friend or social media that Samba has had to take the difficult decision to close. We hope that you, our customers, have been happy with the value exchange received over the last two years. Below you will find answers to FAQs.We would like to thank you for all your support. We know that a lot of you have really appreciated the service, and we have, in return, very much appreciated your loyalty to Samba and your support of our proposition to friends and family. We have provided free mobile broadband, but also an alternative to interruptive video advertising models, and have, for the most part, with your participation, proven that people are quite happy to view video ads when they are in control of the experience and get something in return. We will be using this learning in future projects. However, it is with sadness that today we have closed the service, and we understand and appreciate you will need to find alternatives to Samba. We have made suggestions of where to look at the bottom of the FAQs below. To paraphrase the late Douglas Adams, so long and thanks for all the views..

well, the words 'of', 'death' and 'kiss' spring to mind..
