An hour.
I saw one of these arcade machines in a shop, I said to the guy, its so small and I wasn't happy...! The guy said, well which one are you then? *Ba dum tss*
I did always wonder why they made them this small, but I guess very few people have room for a full size arcade cabinet, and you could probably put this on a sturdy table or stand if you wanted to raise it. But otherwise it's probably best when seated.
pity it dose not have a coin slot as I would put in the car and drive to my local MaceyD's. Free coffee all day...
And I'm sure that dart board isn't at the correct regulation height either !

If you wanted an arcade machine that didn't take up much space, surely it would be better to build a slimline one that hung on the wall with full size controls, or build one as a table.

I'm sure the tiny size of these is just down to smaller is cheap, and as a toy for young kids. You'd not be saving that much floor space, unless you are talking something like the TX-1 arcade machine, and I've watched a kid barely tall enough to see over and reach the control panel playing a normal size machine back in the 80's and he did ok. The size would be handy when you get fed up with it and want to stuff it in the loft I suppose.

I have full size cabinets, bartop cabinets and a few of these.
They are nice, but are more of a showpiece.

Peter was easily the best part of that movie...admittedly his competition wasn't particularly fierce.
Dougal, this arcade machine is small. Those arcade machines are far away....
Rampage, Joust, Defender and Gauntlet - one cabinet, 4 games, also reduced to 299

Street Fighter reduced to £296

I saw the street fighter game in my local smyths toy shop last week.

They had the riser box under it and this brought the unit to a sensible height.

They also had the street fighter stool - visually it looked really good.

Smyths are also selling the space invader for £299, Rampage for £299. They have streetfighter with the riser for £350.

The picture below shows someone using an arcade 1up unit with the riser. Clearly, the riser is needed for anyone of average height or taller unless they use the stool to sit down

If you are thinking of modding this in the future then the street fighter model is the one to get because it has two sticks and multiple buttons. You can install a raspberry pi to run your multigame emulators

I had been thinking of getting one of these but have heard that the joysticks on these units can have problems so will be building my own unit using pi

The streetfighter unit went down to £225 on Amazon in August but price has gone back up again now.

The link above contains lots of helpful comments about how to mod one of these and also alternatives if you build your own.
