Don't bother with this.

At £20 the quality of this bag is disappointing.
If you've ever had a bag fall apart on you, you'll know this is constructed from unsubstantial material.

It's fine if you dash to the library or coffee shop, but for day in day out commuting, this isn't the bag for you.
Bought it last time around this price from Ryman, as I love my Samsonite luggages. But this seemed their lowest level. Didn't like it returned and bought swiss gear.

great quality, have been using it for some time
Does anyone know if this will slide onto the hand rail of a trolley bag?

I have this bag and unfortunately not.

bought last time. the quality is poor, well bellow what one would expect from Samsonite.
Just ordered one
Also purchased one last time round at this price. Quality isn't what you'd expect from Samsonite. I have to use a laptop sleeve within the bag as the protection is non existant

aside from the quality concerns already mentioned - 22L is a pretty tiny capacity. IMO 25L is average, and 30L is good.
Another great deal from Chanchi
Ordered two separately and applied voucher each time.
Got the bag when it was on offer at Rymans a bit back. Great bag and for the price it's a steal.
I have one, I agree not amazing quality, but it is brilliantly sized for Ryanair’s new cabin bag dimensions. It may be a few millimeters wider, but one can easily squash it to fit. At the price worth it
Cheers OP!

Hope to carry my laptop and lunch to and from the car park etc. Don’t need
a super large as the company only gave us tiny 13” laptops.

I loved this when I first got it and surprisingly it fits so much in for a small bag. After about 6 months of using it every day the padding on the straps started coming apart. It’s great if you’ll only be using a couple of days a week but heavy users should probably find something else.
Any alternative rucksacks?

Ryman & Robert Dyas both owned by Theo ex-Dragon Paphitis.
I pressed E to pick it up.

I would agree. The straps tend to come apart. Having said that, it has lasted 2 years, once it was repaired.
This has been on offer before
Was a bit concerned about weak it is...

Well it has 2 year warranty and it would be the first bag f@@ked from my tuna & ketchup sandwich...
Ordered. Cheers OP.
Thank you
Had this bag 2 and half years throughout my uni days. Went to uni 6 days a week where I used this bag from 9am to 10pm (yes long hours architecture course). Never failed on me. Passed it down to my sis which I went for an new XL version.

Paid £45 for it and my first samsonite. Loved it. Was used and abused, stuffed with all sorts to the max. Defoe worth £20

Same as others.........had a look at this in Rymans when it was on sale. Not what you would expect with the samsonite name. I'd leave it.
Buy last year with deal as well, really useful stuff. We are using as baby bag & my wife loves it. Highly recommended
STEER CLEAR OF THIS!! Purchased one from samsonite store. Didn't last 4 months before it started giving way at the straps and top handle. Returned it for warranty. It was repaired. Another 3 months down the line... Same issue. Moved on to the spectrolite. Never looked back
Last time I tried to get one of these, Rymans didn't have it. I ordered some enveloped to pad the order for free delivery to store and the envelopes is all I got.
When I got my refund they refunded the envelopes and not the bag. Avoid Rymans.

Just unfortunate you advertise to "Pick-Pockets thieves," one might say. Although, you make the valid point in regards to the 'Ease of Access' for the compartments.
Very handy indeed.
Also, need to mention the build quality, 50% price...50% more vulnerable due to the materials used for the bag, not your default strong Samsonite that's for sure. This bag is definitely Primark touch...but for those who don't care then...sold I guess.

Yeah, sorry to leave you hanging. I'm not paying £30 or whatever it was for four small padded envelopes!

They had other / similar bags in store but they all looked kinda naff so I didn't bother getting one.
Can anyone recommend anything similar in size but better quality? I'm looking to replace mine after 3 months

A passport should always be in a inside jacket pocket or front trouser pocket.

“Since I’m a beta amateur travel blogger, it’s probably no surprise to you that I love luggage. .. One of the things I love the most about this backpack is the slim pocket on the front where I can store my passport for easy access.“

Anyone with common sense knows a front pocket on a ‘backpack is where you put tissues and the like for easy access and that don’t cause a drama when nasty people pick pocket. I always put a small teddy in mine on the Tube haha yes thief you might be a cun* but I’m a bigger one I’ve caught a few people saying oh it was falling out “aye right, you’ll be falling into a angry Scotsman in a minute, F off” always has the desired effect... mind the (common sense) gap.

Never put valuables in side or front pockets in a backpack, use the inside pockets numpties
I've got one very similar to this but without the laptop hiding bit. The bag is decent overall but the straps are beginning to fray on the sides, as well as the pouches on each side for a water bottle. This is with minimal use so this might not be suitable for those of you who take a bag with you everyday.
I received mine and the bag is alright. Thanks for the post.
