Only 15.6 inch laptop. I find bags which support bigger 17 inch laptop much more easier to use . In London , Power London 17 inch laptop bags are sold by discount shops for £15 .

I got one of these from Amazon, this is a great backpack and price. Easily has space for two laptops and a tablet along with pens wallet etc
Great backpack for anyone looking. First one lasted 6 years, that's through 3 years uni, 3 years daily work and every holiday in those years. Just bought my replacement

Tablet compartment fitting tablets until 10.1

Anyway, great price. I think this is still £59 on Samsonite's website.

If it's like my ogio one it has a laptop compartment and a separate smaller compartment for a tablet also. I presume it can take up to a 15.6 laptop.
RD keep trying to flog this stuff off every few months. Even for a samsonite, it was never worth RRP. At best worth £20. Get a berghaus instead.
I'm using this model for my company laptop last 2 years. It's nice, except the back - totally flat.

Got one is these. Had over a year and its great. £20 is a bargain.

Thanks for posting OP, I've been putting up with my cheap eurohike bag with a developing hole along the zip. £20 is actually less than what I spent for my old bag and from the sound of it, this one will be far sturdier.

Thanks for the first hand review on the backpack too, I am sure it would help others make up their mind

Not many people carry 17 inch laptops, otherwise ultra books will not exist. I gave up my 15.6 laptop and got a 14 inch ultra book. This is to use in my house, never mind to carry it with me.
Voted hot, good deal!
Word of warning, avoid storing anything in the frontmost compartment (with the red vertical zip)! Twice I've found someone's unzipped it while the bag was on my back, in the hope of stealing something inside...
Otherwise great bag, well worth £20. Well compartmentalised and comfortable. Just bear in mind these laptop backpacks can be an attractive target for would-be thieves.
Ordered 2 ( 2 transactions to get the deal ) thanks OP

Good point about attracting thieves.
£12 shipping for NI and no option for Click and Collect? They're having a laugh.
waterproof?
feels pretty cheap, id go for something better

Put a loaded mouse trap in there
Now it's an extra theft deterrent feature of the backpack!

It's not that great a deal. Very lacklustre bag if you've previously used a Tumi, Wegner or similar high end bag brands. Straps lack padding, zips are weak and fabric is quite thin, less than robust. For £20, it seems value because of the Samsonite badge, otherwise nothing special.

They did a Targus for £13 on Amazon way back when and stock levels were up and down. I got one eventually after 5 months waiting for stock to turn up.

Loads of brands, I'm assuming of Chinese origin, on Amazon for about the same £20 price.

I reserved to collect one of these Samsonites from RDyas, and was disappointed so got refund rather than take it home with me. The nylon looked really flimsy.
Whilst at the store, I thought, screw it, I'll get the more expensive one, but that too was mass produced flimsyness that wouldn't sell without the badge.
Order it and judge for yourself. It is only £20, but...

Thanks a lot. Targus used to be good, but I have bought 2 lately and neither lasted long On the other hand the Samsonite, HP own branded bag and wenger have been better quality for me.

I'm on my 4th laptop bag in a decade.
Mandarina Duck looked really sharp but back strap padding collapsed within 3 years. That cost £130.

Thought, right, focus on the versatility and quality then looks. Got a Tumi, the top carry strap self destructed within 3 years. That cost about £120.
Ok, I used it everyday with a chunky momma laptop carrying up and down the country, loads of handy pockets and compartments.

A Wenger, very basic accompanying bag for wheel about travel office bag. Not as versatile and effectively fits a skinny laptop, power adaptor a pad and a couple of pens and that's your lot.

Now got the Targus as a laptop backpack and a leather smart holdall for client meetings which cost a bomb for something well made.

The Samsonite has been on sale 2 years in a row at RDyas. About the same time of the year.
Take a look, it may be what you're after given that these things fall apart every couple of years.

Wow then my HP branded bag did well - in its 9th year now but still going, yes its rugged and looks well used, but still lugging my stuff around Use it to carry a laptop, charger, brolly, extra phone and cables etc - along with lunch and snack boxes with a bottle of water.

So either your company are giving you and your colleagues better lighter laptops or you're a frequent WFH.

Either way, 9 years, you're ahead of me.

These things are so damned expensive.
I don't mind paying for quality with style, but you take a look at some of the high end stylish business bags and you're lucky to get change out of £250.

Maybe I should stop lugging photocopiers back home with me?!

Most of my male colleagues have 17" laptops which are essential for working with MS Project and Excel. The ladies tend to have smaller handbag size laptops as they prefer carrying something lighter.

P.S. most hotels don;t have an external moniter in your room you can plug in to.

MacBook Pro so yeah that helps for sure, the charger is a bit bulky plus all that extra stuff I carry doesn’t help. Go to work every day and carry home cooked food.
Got this bag a few months back for this price, I purchased it for a holiday to USA to carry my laptop, phone, portable charges etc. Bag is great and has plenty of room. I was surprised how much stuff I actually got in it after buying food and drinks at the airport. Would highly recommend it for the price. 🏻
They don't last, managed to return mines after 5 months of use. Get a wenger instead.

I guess it depends where you work. We all have 14 inch Lenovo Thinkpad laptops from work and all come with their own bag. We are due to have these replaced by tablet or Microsoft Surface, and everybody is looking forward to get a lighter device. I use Excel and never had an issue with the size of the device.
Thanks, ordered one.

Probably depends what you are doing on excel. I find a 15.6" laptop too small to use regularly. I could do it but it would put a dent in my productivity. Always plugged into at least 2 external monitors.
