Is this a good price and will it fit ryanair

I do like the way Tesco push the Samsonite name when selling these cases where as other retailers sell as 'American Tourister' or 'American Tourister by Samsonite'.

Nothing against the deal, this is still a very good deal for these cases and at this price they are way better than the equivilently priced oposition. Heat added

Why don't you look at the dimensions of the case and then look on the Ryanair website to see whether it would fit their hand luggage criteria.

Love the 4 wheeled ones. Bought some 15yrs ago from bargain crazy of all places, look beautiful & still going strong!. Thx op heat added.

thanks for the post. I was looking for a large case for a while. Ordered one for delivery in store.

Got excited thinking these were the actual samsonite spinner ones.

Cheers OP, Large case ordered

Don't get fooled into thinking it is Samsonite, It is not.

I fly over 40K miles a year and some of the AT stuff is nice (i have used it myself) but nowhere is it as sturdy as the real Samsonite. That's why Samsonite give 10yrs warranty and AT gets usually 2yrs (sometimes 5yrs on their premium ranges).

Me too originally, when you click through to each one you see it's half price.

Whether it fits Ryanair or not, remember the stronger the case the more it weighs. The small ones here are 2.5kg compared with the lightweights at about 1 to 1.5kg. That's a fair chunk out of a 10kg allowance.

Fair point but these cases are similar to the Tripp range from Debenhams, and when comparing prices, £35 is excellent value for money for a large lightweight 4-wheel spinner case (equivalent Tripp is £50+ In their sale) and AT are still charging £85 for one.

Use the link provided by howbord above

this case is made at same factory as samsonite. same quality .

example:

samsonite

american tourister

exactly the same

Great cases I bought the large marbella at around £80 which is similar. This is a great case and as states made in the same factory as Samsonite, ordered. Thanks

Heat added, thanks

These are American Touris
te and not Samsonite. Very poor quality.

that was mentioned two days ago I think

Only problem with 4 wheel cases is the wheels are vulnerable when baggage handlers get hold of them, fine for hand luggage though.

4kg for the large version? There goes the allowance

I've bought one, will collect tomorrow and report back

Agreed. ..bought a large one...great deal!

Hate to be a party pooper but this case won't last five minutes in the care of most baggage handlers, especially foreign ones. You can spit peas through the fabric. The handle is extremely flimsy also. Wiser to spend a tad more and get something with more quality (_;)

Believe me, I'm talking through experience

Just picked one up at Tesco Silverburn. Looks very nice and robust. Good quality, cant go wrong with the price and warranty on it.

Good deal... Fits Ryan Air measurements but not easy jet. Would prefer one that fits all

I saw them in store today, in the market for new luggage so really wanted to like them. Unfortunately can't recommend as they appear too fragile to survive a couple of flights, never mind a few years...

Well i wasn't impressed with the large one, immediately returned.
Agree it wouldn't last more than a couple of trips, support seemed very flimsy.
