Looks like this has been reduced for the weekend Great price for a 16GB Class 6 memory card. Amazon this is still £34.99

Great deal with a top speed, just ordered two!! Just going to submit this deal but someone beat me to it LOL

Hot! Good reviews on Amazon, but even though it's Class 6 - not really fast enough for DSLR RAW photo's or 1080P HD Video (from comments on Amazon) - would be perfect for non RAW work (normal point and shoot cameras) and 720P HD Video. Get a faster Class 8 / 10 Card if you really need the speed (like Sandisk Extreme series, that this is trying to copy).

Edit: The 8GB version and also a Class2 16GB Sandisk one is the same price and so really it's a no brainer! I've ordered two!

Hot! Great price for the 16gb. As said before not the best speeds for SLR RAW shoots, but great for just about everything else.

Thanks OP.Wanted some to archive our photos.

I would really really think again about that! The amount of people I know who have had corrupted sd cards/flash drives or drives which have physically broke or just stopped working. Terrible idea using flash storage for archiving!

great thanks

need some memory for my kodak plasypost- have ordered 2 of these

thanks

WOW mega hot thanks!

Great Deal!

Too bad I can not order it since I am outside UK.

Thanks anyway.

cheers ordered great price for 16GB nice little storage to run my portable aps from on my netbook :-)

just ordered - thanks

Ordered a spare for my FZ38. Thanks

Ordered 2! Thanks!

Great find - was waiting for the class 6s to get cheap! Got 2, heat added.

Ordered two of the 4Gb ones for £5.99 each.

16Gb worth of photos is a hell of a lot to lose if the card fails!

Another reviewer said it's fine with the camcorder I have - the Panasonic SD700. Specs state an SDHC card with Class 4 and above should work even at 1080p50 - if not - Samsung have some explaining to do. I've googled and so far only these two reviews on Amazon UK and a YouTube video indicate slow performance with a Canon EOS 550D. Other reviews do indicate that this Samsung SDHC card is not the quickest but still meets the Class 6 specification.

I'll take my chances.

good price wish this was class 6 micro sdhc

I use a class 6 16GB for RAW on my DSLR - doesnt slow the camera down at all.

would this work on a panasonic TZ10 ?

What you recommend for shooting RAW ? and you tried a class 6 card when storing RAW output ? I presume the issue with RAW is when you weant to shoot multiple frames quicky as the camera should at least store one RAW shot in its buffer ?

Is this a mis-price? I see that Play have the 8Gb cards also at the same price here.

Heat added!

And yes, I've never really experienced too much slowing down with my DSLR. I recently bought a class 10 card to try, but it wasn't noticeably faster than my PNY Class 4 card. The only disappointing card I had was a maxell MAXimum 4Gb SDHC Class 4 - which was being sold on a deal on this site - that only lasted about three weeks before I couldn't do a thing with it (wouldn't read in my camera or PC, couldn't format it etc).

Great deal!!!I wish to have micro sd one for this price

Another comment for speed etc.:

If your camera is 10-12 megapixels or less, as most of those in use these days are, I suppose, and providing you aren't just holding the shutter release down to take loads of pictures a second, even a class two will probably do the job.

When you start saving RAW images (with or without JPGs), the file size is going to be much greater and you'll need to factor that in when choosing your memory cards. Just to throw some numbers into the pot: my (now old) Pentax K10D, which is a 10 Mp DSLR, produces JPG files of ~2-3Mb, but RAW files are 10-12Mb. Do beari in mind that if you're trying to save 15Mb per frame at 10 frames a second, you're going to need some good quality kit, so get some good advice from other users of your camera through specialist user forums (fora??) on the web.

Otherwise, if you're in the happy position of money being no hurdle, why not buy a variety of low capacity cards of different speeds to try them out before buying anything above 4Gb.

Agreed, but this will be my 'working' copy.
e.g. I can set the read-only switch when using it and only make it writeable when
I'm adding new photos.
I've got copies on hard disk and DVD for important stuff.
I reckon using different tech means they wont all fail at the same time!
At least that's the theory.

Oooooh, I bought one because it's cheap and the metallic finish looks nice.

But is it much faster than my Class 4 PNY Optima 16GB SDHC card, from this deal:
hotukdeals.com/dea…454

???

heat added - ordered.

Class 6 is 6meg a sec guaranteed
samsung say these do 20meg read and 15 meg write
if they are guaranteeing that speed they may well be faster

my transcent class 6 does 20 meg read and 9 meg write
on my reader

I'm using a class 6 Sandisk extreme III and shooting RAW without a problem...
Not sure if you were dissing the card itself or class 6... I dunno about the card..but class 6 is totally fine for RAW

From ...

samsung.com/uk/…ion

Speed Rating
Speed (read) 17 (MB/s)
Speed (write) 12 ~ 13 (MB/s)
Speed Class Class 6

My ByteStor 16GB Class 4 does ...

Sequential Read : 19.337 MB/s
Sequential Write : 11.081 MB/s

using the CrystalDiskMark V3.0 speed utility.

SDHC Class ratings are only nominal - sustained sequential writes simply have to exceed 6MB/s to be Class 6.

I hope this works in my Nikon.

Well that's strange.... I bought and use Class4 cards with Panasonic 1080HD in the highest resolution and there is abosolutely no problem with the speed at all... perhaps other makes are more demanding.
