Might be worth adding the rated speeds on this drive with a USB 3.1 connection.
Is this a particularly special SSD? I ask because Amazon have a 1TB SS drive for £240. Add a USB3 enclosure for £10, and you've saved £40 compared to the Samsung.

SanDisk Ultra II SSD 1 TB SATA III 2.5 inch Internal SSD up to 545 MB/s Read and up to 525 MB/s Write

I won't provide a link, because it's easy enough to find. Also, this one is a fiver cheaper:
Crucial MX300 1TB SATA 2.5 Inch Internal Solid State Drive - CT1050MX300SSD1

The T3 is smaller and well built compared to a clunky build it yourself 2.5" SSD. Also comes with encryption software to hide the content. I use these to backup pictures on travel and find the portability really good.

This is tiny compared to a desktop SSD in an enclosure. When buying an enclosure you need to make sure it supports all the important protocols as some don't which will cripple random access performance.
USB 3.1 gen 1 - aka USB 3.0.

Not gonna get headline USB 3.1 speeds from this.
If you want USB 3.1 Gen 2, search for the T5 version.
T5 isn't released until 28th August. I use T3 in work and love it.
