Shame it does not has hdmi 2.1 otherwise burn in screen free bright tv prefect for bright rooms.
It's refurbished with only 12 months guarantee
I'm sat watching this very TV right now,it is a great alternative if you don't want to go down the OLED route.

I made loads of videos about it and tested it side by side with with an LG OLED.

I'd love to share the videos with you guys but unfortunately it's against the rules,so don't go sending PM's asking to see them

No doubt it’s beast of tv, with very good gaming lag and top notch picture quality. Hdmi 2.1 is bit of disappointment for this set, never know they might upgrade one connect box this tv later this year

How much did you pick that up for?

I paid £4499 but I got Samsung £700 cashback with free Samsung harman/kardon HW-N850 which I sold around £800 Ebay. In total tv cost me around £3000 considering size 75 inch with 8k. Recently they upgraded my one connect box for hdmi 2.1 support. March is best time to buy Samsung TVs.

I don't see the point in paying for 8k and getting a worse picture quaility for 4k and below... so everything available.
I'd rather have a new 80R from JL with 5 year warranty for £100 less

Such a disappointment that they won't upgrade the One Connect boxes for the Q90s, even for a price. I'd have gone for one of these over the C9 if so.
Is this the one selling 1899 brand new in another deal with up to 400 cash back when buying with soundbar?
Yes, but unless you still the sound bar for full whack then this is cheaper, albeit a refurb.
Sell, not still

Yes, I had it price matched in RS and another £20 off as peterthyson I believe has promotion, making it £1879 + soundbar that will be free atfer cashback with 4 years warranty
I have the 55" - purchased for £1199. Great for gaming with the Xbox One X and the anti-reflective film is top of class.
same price brand new if you have a work or student login at Samsung, not sure if you can also get the £400 on another soundbar and tv

Very nice, thanks for sharing. If you don’t mind how much is 55 & 65 in q950R as I know you can claim Note 10+ 5G with it.

When you click on purchase it says
5 YEAR WARRANTY for QLED TVs
This is an extra 3 years on top of the standard 2 year warranty for parts and labour. It’s another great reason to choose Samsung
I was torn been Q90R and lg c9 at 65". It was a closer match than I expected but the oled was £500 cheaper at the time, its nice to see the qled drop to more reasonable prices as this could have swayed me to the q90r instead.

From the Samsung employee/student portal? It says 12 month warranty when I click on it and their support agent said the same when I called them around 3 weeks ago, when I was considering buying from them.

If they've changed it in literally the last few weeks then I'd be interested again.

How did you find it at this price as student beans offer 10% which wouldn't reduce it to the price you've found it. Cheers
Interestingly I fired this off to JL for price match and they matched it!

Totally normal price match with Normal 5 year Warranty, they simply haven’t noticed that it’s a refurb being offered by district electricals

I had the same dilemma, I went with the QLED in the end as I wanted to use it in a bright room, it also came with a free Q80R soundbar which probably swung it for me.

I've got a brightish room 2, 5 windows into the garden. But I've got blinds I can use to control the light/reflections as needed.
I almost got the q90r 75" for £3200 with free soundbar (which I would have sold) but then noticed the TV weighted 52kg which was over the limit for my TV stand, and the wall was plasterboard so didn't fancy the fitting close to build a frame. So ended up with the smaller, lighter and cheaper oled. Now if the oled C9 77 was £3200 rather than £6000 I would have got that instead

I also have blinds but on my old TV I could see the reflection of the blinds on the screen, so this was a concern for me. I read that the QLED range had a really good anti reflection coating. Since buying the Q90R it has been good in all lighting conditions. It's a great TV but initially I did have problems with lip sync issues. I think both OLED and QLED's are great TV's and you can't really go wrong with either one.

The q90r anti reflection is fantastic, I do wish lg had something similar as the oled loves to reflect which ruins the deep blacks.

When I viewed the Q90R and C9 in Richer Sounds they were both by the window and Q90R definitely looked better in the bright light. I think for most people though this wouldn't be a problem.

After weeks of research and reading reviews I took my wife into Currys to look at both TV's , she preferred the stand on the Q90R so the decision was made...

I've just done the same - do they normally take 24hrs to respond?
Also, did you buy a 2nd tv from them to claim the up to £400 cashback with 2nd tv/ soundbar?

Sent the request 16:56 yesterday and had reply 0851 today! I’ve not actually placed the order yet.

What is the cash back offer? I can’t see any mention on the JL site?
