Link to Curry's 19".

I'm sure i've just seen this model in Asda this afternoon for £300!

It was a 22" Samsung with Rose tint frame anyway..

 Sorry same price

Pixmania have the T240HD for £289 +£11 delivery. This is full HD too.
Have been looking for a good TV Monitor with Freeview and these Samsungs are rated highly

After reading some of the Amazon reviews, It looks like an excellent buy for the money.
Quite tempted to replace my old Techsonic 14" crt TV on my desktop.

Anyone know what the TV picture is like on this? Not via HDMI but Freeview? Also what are the speakers like and will it accept a PC intput?

Ive read a few reviews on these, they're meant to be good.. but the viewing angles aren't very wide.. and dark is very dark..

Not sure whether to go for the T240HD version (24") or a 24" monitor with HDMI Freeview.. works out quite a bit cheaper

Nice TV but screen is very reflective
Hot price

Does anyone know whether it is wall mountable? Looking for a TV for the bedroom. Ta!

If anyone knows where to get the T240HD or even better the T260HD for a good price AND at a reputable company then I would appreciate it if you could let me know

Have been waiting for these to drop in price because it's a lot to pay for a TN screen =(

Hot deal for the 22"

Does this model have full HD 1920 x 1080 or 1680 x 1050 max ?

I'm none the wiser after checking the spec on the Samsung website :?

From previous searching and quick searching just now, I think it needs a specific wall mount Model number = WMB1900T

(if you want to search for it)

One of the most complaints for this I think are regarding its inability to be wall mounted.
Hope that helps.

Can't speak for this model exactly but I've just bought an ]LE22A455. This is sold as a TV whereas the T220HD is sold as a monitor. The sound on the LE22A455 is truly dreadful so I'd be very surprised if the monitor version is any better.

Also VERY slow to change channel.

Oh, forgot to say if you're not gonna attach it to other speakers/surround sound,
The sound is not good at all (like most monitor speakers)(although not from experience, check reviews on it) so.. you have been warned!

Pretty sure its max is its native res at 1680 X 1050, although others who have it may confirm (Samsungs webby is a bit misleading)

most if not all samsung monitors come with 3 year warranty

I'm confused! This seems to be a monitor more than a TV right??

Is this actually any good as a TV with freeview??

Simple answers only please.

Many thanks.

For my Ps3 would you reccomend this or a Sony Bravia 20inch one, the new version? help please

Sony all the way

I have my PS3 hooked up to a 32" S series set with Sony surround sound set-up and it's awesome.

Also, for those that think this is 1080p - it certainly IS NOT. Max res is only 1680 x 1050.

There are comments on Amazon that if using a PS3 through this set, you receive an annoying warning message regarding the res which you can't remove from the screen!

Might be ok as a TV or monitor, but I wouldn't want to use my PS3 through it.

£196.21 at kikatek see link but only 1 available. i've got the 20" and it's great.

"Built-in DTV (ATSC) Tuner,"

ATSC is the American digital terrestrial standard. The UK uses DVB-T. If this listed feature is correct, then the digital TV feature will be completely useless in the UK.

nice find i vote hot

Can you not choose which resolution to use? With the last xbox 360 update, you can now choose 1680 x 1050 which is my own samsung 206BW native resolution. If you can do the same with a PS3 you'll be sound. I do have to use the DVI connection for the xbox 360 thought.

As im only a matchstick, Ive no idea what Im talking about.

Some websites list this as a TV others as a monitor. I'd like to hook up the xbox/ps3 through this, or should i go for the hotukdeals.com/ite…-d/ instead.

also whats the contrast, 10 000:1 or 20:000 as listed on amazon.

Yes, it is 'only' 1680 x 1050, I did quite a bit of research on the Samsung's before I decided to buy a LG Plasma. Lots of info here:

It's 10000 to 1, but that's still not bad, I saw the non TV tuner version live in Currys and it looked like it had a good picture.

Right everyone....

I bought this tv for my girlfriend for christmas and she love it. She uses it for her computer and tv in order to save space. the freeview picture is first class. The menus etc are also good.

From memory i think it has 2 hdmi inputs, but im not 100%. check the samsung website.

The general picture is excellent. As someone has already said it's not full HD.

I bought it for £235 and i thought that was cheap at the time. I'd totally recommend this tv. it looks gorgeous with the rose tint edge.

Hummm yeah:

720p HD progressive (1280x720 @50 & 60 Hz)

Downscaled to 1280x720.

and the uk site gives the impression of full HD very confusing ..if not misleading

samsung.com/uk/…/EN

Be careful when purchasing the T220HD, there is another model the T220 , these are very different.
The T220 is a basic monitor with no multimedia features.

In terms of the difference between a Samsung 22'' Rose TV and the T220HD Monitor with Freeview (marketed as a Monitor/TV), are the resolutions.
The 22 TV's are HD Ready 1366x768
The T220HD has a 1680x1080. 16:10 Ratio
The T240HD has a resolution of 1920x1200 so can so 1080P / True HD 1900x1080 with a black line top and bottom. 16:10 Ratio

One thing the Monitor/TV lacks is PIP (Picture in Picture) even though it is shown on the remote control it is disabled on th T220HD/T240HD, thats one reason it is marketed as a Monitor/TV rather than a TV.
I think the LG M2294D Monitor/TV has an Analogue receiver aswell as a Digital Freeview. Not sure whether the Samsung has only a Digital Freeview and no Analogue, but as Analogue will be switched off soon no a big issue.

I've read some reviews which give it poor sound quality, then a youtube review that said the sound was good considering most sound from monitors is rubbish. The touch on/off is said to be fiddly.

LG have recently come out with their latest 'Samsung beater' 22 LCD Monitor/TV - it seems to get a better overall review 'a good all rounder' and the connections on the back are well laid out and plentiful. The LG M2294D, and is available at ebuyer @ £214.94. I think this is the main reason for the price drop, it cant justify the high price anymore against the LG M2294D.
ebuyer.com/pro…990
If you are looking for an XBox monitor, new 23'' monitors are starting to become available which have a true resolution of 1920x1080, so they are 1080P / True HD Capable. Fujitsu Siemens @ £155.24
misco.co.uk/app…057
NB. This doesn't have Freeview is just a monitor, but designed more for use with Xbox and the screen is the correct ratio 16:9 Ratio for Xbox HD Cable.

Hope this is helpful

Hotttt. Paid £200 for the tft version of this back in december.

I bought it as a TV and I'm more than happy with it. My boyfriend assured me that as it's also a monitor the picture quality is better.

Got one for the bedroom before Xmas at about the same price, very happy with it. I thought it used a standard VESA mount, can't find the manual and I haven't mounted it anyway. Sound is OK for me, using TV. Pic is great and the rose colour is really distinctive.

Freeview picture quality is very good. Speakers not so good. Yes, it takes PC input.
