Samsung 24" LED TV T24C300 £129.99 + Now TV Sports Pack @ Currys

Found 10th Jun 2014
Just bought two of these for my PC and they are ace. More features and connectors then an LED monitor, picture quality is excellent and 1080p and in store they give you Now TV Sports pack which is just one days Sky sports for free. Only thing that put me off Now TV is you have to put in credit/debit card details as part of the account registration before it would allow you to use it the Now TV box. Other than that I can now use a hdmi spliter to use it on the of the TVs now. Or both as they gave me two Now TVs! Cannot copy the product details on my iphone from currys website. Will do that on my PC when I get home. Seen similar deals on this item but they are all expired from what I can see. Cheers

Damn!! Just bought an IIyama 24" monitor for more money. Heat added.
Great price!
Got this around 2 weeks ago when it was £129.99 with the Now TV Sports Pack at Currys before it went back up to £149.99

Cracking TV with a great picture. Good option on the Picture settings menu with a Standing Mode and a Lean Back Mode, which is adjustable depending the height you are viewing the TV at to avoid the screen just looking black unless you are level with the screen.

The only gripe is the all the sockets such as HDMI, Aerial, Power etc are positioned at the back of the TV and not the sides like some, therfore if you wall mount it, depending on what type of wall mount kit you have, you may have a struggle fitting the leads in. Put it this way, the HDMI, Aerial and Power Lead have a right old bend on them as they are against the wall. The USB is on the side though which is fine. Also think the fittings for a wall mount kit are a bit high on the back of the TV as our wall mount is visible by about 2 inch above the back of the TV. Again, probably depends on the mount kit you have

We have it for the spare room for the games console and the Freeview for the young one and it's great

TH71 - don't forget you can get hdmi corner/angle adaptors for those situations
Is the Freeview in HD?
Thanks for posting, looks interesting. Heat added.

What are the downsides if any, or using this as a PC monitor VS some other dedicated monitors out there at a similar price point?

Yes, I'll grab one of those HDMI adapters when I can. It is okay at the moment though

Also it is not Freeview HD. Cracking picture all around though
Just bought the 23" Samsung Smart TV down to £159.97 at Currys as hoping to use this in a bedroom and connect wirelessly to get on-line features.
Seems like a decent spec. for the price for those that want the "Smart" features.
It went down to £169 last October, then back up to £199 and is now being sold as "clearance".
Cracking deal.
Beware, ive had one of these and the viewing angle is no way near advertised. If you sit at the slightest of angles the screen appears yellowed. Everything else is great, would suit as a monitior as youll be infront of it mostly and have external speakers.
The clearance 23" Samsung Smart TV requires a WiFi dongle to work wirelessly. This is something like £29.99 in store or £19.99 on eBay. Also a quick Google shows lack of firmware updates for this old model ...

I was tempted but at £189.98 all in I rather spend another ten or twenty quid and get the latest model with WiFi built in. Good spot though ..
gone back upto 149.95
Bought this last week after my old lg monitor packed in after 6 yrs. So far so good
Nice find vickyboy123! I have just been to PC World and the instore price has also went up to £149.99
