Send it back. I went with the Sandisk Ultra II 480GB just in case I missed this on a lightning deal. Now I have too many SSD's oO

Great price.
Hoping for a deal on the 250GB. Don't need this much C drive storage on my desktop.

You could always partition it for other things. It shouldn't effect OS performance. Just an idea
I too ordered the 500gb one from Amazon.es. Does anyone know if that can be returned to amazon uk?
Great deal, this is a significant price drop. Thanks OP!
Hmm my sandisk 960GB from ebuyer arrives today.....do i get this and send the sandisk back...decisions decisions lol
960GB for ~£150
1TB for ~£185

Is there something I'm missing? Is this SSD really that much quicker making it worth the £35? Albeit 40GB more.
SanDisk - 3 year warranty
Samsung - 5 year warranty
The Evo is faster for most things albeit not by a significant amount due to the way the Sandisk ncache is uitilised, it's more down to my preference for Samsung ssd's. I've had a number of ssd's in my pc's (Crucial, Samsung, Ocz, Sandisk and Toshiba) and have only had one fail so far and that was a Sandisk, not a huge quantifiable reason but I only plumped for the Sandisk 960GB as there was no Samsung 1TB deals floating about.

I was gonna say, if speed was the only reason then surely dropping that kind of money on an M.2 would make more sense. I've had the 500GB Samsung Evo and 960GB SanDisk both on the lightening deals. Comments had me second guessing myself Going to use the Evo as a boot drive and SanDisk for steam, doubt I'd see any difference worth mentioning if I swapped the SanDisk for another Evo in my thinking.

Aye just personal preference and having said that it's only going to be used for my steam library as well. Unfortunately i'm still using an older i7 and mobo with only 2 sata 3 ports available and I already have 2 ssd's utilising those so I will have to do some swapping about and relegate one to a sata 2 port until I upgrade again.
Cant decide... Would also use it for my steam drive...
Just ordered one, but when I tried to apply my GC, it did not get applied & when I spoke to Amazon, they said you cannot apply GC for an order delivered to a pick-up or pass my parcel location. Have any of you encountered this problem?
Just bought one for my photo drive - thanks :-)
Oh my I've waited SO LONG for this to drop in price! I bought the Sandisk 960Gb for £149.99 via the Amazon Lightning deals. I haven't opened it yet. Had my heart set on the Samsung Evo so will be sending the Sandisk back! I know the difference isn't major but the extra 2 year warranty and 5* ratings all over the place is worth the extra £35 to me. Thank you HotDeals!!!
Really good price
Awesome price, 5 year warranty as well.

Star Citizen will be around 100GB install, GTA V is around 60GB, for the long term investment it's probally better to get the largest capacity SSD you can afford.

You could try asking them, but I suspect the return has to be done through the foreign site and you'd have to post it back to Spain. That's been my experience with returns to Amazon.fr, anyway. And I've never had my return postage refunded, either.

Indeed,that's the price without vat
That'll be the prime now discount perhaps
Ordered one after waiting months for this price to drop
ordered.cheers OP
So do SSD's last longer than HDD's?
Good price. Got the Sandisk for £138 with student discount (as the discount comes of the non lightning deal price) so this would be ~£38 more and i am not sure that is worth it. The extra 2 years warranty is good but it isnt worth ~30% more in price.
Thanks Amazon if you could just put the 250GB variant on sale once that would be great.
I have one of these, excellent drives fast and reliable. To those asking whether this is any better than the Sandisk 960GB, if you game in 4K, read and write large files, 3D modelling, graphics, music or photography then yes there will be a considerable difference. For general PC use you will not notice a difference.
I've been waiting for this!

I bought a 500GB SSD 18 months ago for about the same price. That one went in my 2011 MacBook Pro. I'll swap it for the new 1TB drive and put the old 500GB one in my 2011 Mac Mini to give it a new lease of life - sweet!
