Gaming lag is probably the main reason.

If you link to a TV that has 2560 x 1440 resolution @ 144Hz then I might be tempted.

Always thought the same till I noticed the crazy difference in response time, input lag and frame rates. TVs also usually come in minimum size 32", and when they come that size it's very rare and expensive to get it in 2K or above, they're all 1080p for some reason.
Good price. This is essentially the C27HG70 without Quantum Dot or HDR.

No idea
If it's a IPS or VA panel then this is a good deal but if it's TN not so much.

Vsync
Difference between this and C27HG70 ? Is it just lack of "HDR" ?

What? Even if it's a TN panel, that's a great deal for 1440p/144hz.
You can get the XF270HU which has IPS/1440p/144hz and freesync for £320

when you play at 144fps, i seriously doubt you can distiguish any tearing if i happens on a single frame.

Any idea what it would be like if you were only getting 60fps-ish on a 144hz monitor? Would I still be able to notice screen tearing much?
Also if I were to pre order now to be on the safe side, would I be able to cancel before product is delivered? Eg if a better deal were to pop up or reviews come out poor etc.. Cheers

im pretty sure that if your framerate dropped below 144 fps, you would start to get tearing without an adaptive framerate tech like freesync or gsync, or without using something like vsync
Great deal. Heat added.

Yes you can cancel anytime, Amazon doesn't charge you till they ship the product out. You've got plenty of time to decide.

The IPS model has been discontinued. This Samsung I think is the next best option provided the reviews are decent.

I can't find any details about this monitor anywhere online - can someone post a link to specs somewhere since they aren't on Amazon. Interested to know if it has Freesync.

Thanks.
