Just wondering why this is getting cold votes - if this TV is available cheaper elsewhere, then please could you post and let everyone know where.

Because its cheaper at: The Link, Dixons and Pixmania.

Could you provide the links please as I went to the Dixons site and struggled to find the exact same model number, i.e. the same combination of letters and numbers

Dixons have a deal with Samsung whereby they use an exclusive model number, in this case replacing the 87 with 88.

Is the letter S not also significant? The Dixons models are all R or M.

Yes, The S model is the worst !

Thanks for clearing that up.

For me there are far too many models out there. It makes it very hard to keep up and to find reviews for current models, especially if the likes of DSG and Comet have exclusive models which are the more or less the same as the models sold by other retailers.

I mentioned this in another thread, but the exclusive models are so that retailers do not have to actually price match. They can make the 110% promises and never have to cough up
