"The Samsung LE32A336 combines performance with value like few others.

For the same cost as an unknown brand you can get yourself an HD Ready TV with twin HDMIs and Freeview from a top quality TV brand. With a quality screen featuring CCFL backlight, the LE32-A336 offers a picture that's rich in detail and natural in colour.

Twin rear-mounted HDMI sockets allow for the connection of 2 High Definition sources, such as an HD-TV box and Blu-ray player. In addition to this the LE32a336 boasts one SCART socket and component connections. Furthermore, the PC input makes this attractive TV the perfect compliment to your home computer.

Although no match for a home cinema system, the built-in SRS Tru-Surround XT system gives a useful boost to audio performance and gives the Samsung 32" LCD TV a far more spacious sound than rivals.

For top brand quality for the price of a none-entity, the Samsung LE32a336 leads the field."

None that I know of but this is available in store for collection although I'd call to check stock if you're making a special trip. Also fixed link to go to item directly.

This deal is in-store only, not online.

But if you have a problem with it you will be made up that you can take it back to a local shop and sort it rather than the complete lack of customer service offered by Play. I have ordered one for my sister for Christmas as it is a decent basic model for the price.

Just as a side point, the customer service with Richer is excellent. They go out of their way to help you get things working right and are happy for people to bring stuff back to their shops to go through any issues. I had a HDMI locking issue with my Onkyo amp, it just would not connect any HDMI source to my TV or projector. I brought it into the store were we could not get the same problem to happen. They still let me take a new one home to see if it made a difference which it did and now my system is all running beautifully. God knows what the difference was, probably a newer firmware increasing compatibility. All I know is that very few shops would swap over a £1000 amp for a brand new one because of a problem that you couldn't demonstrate to them.

I agree with the above statements about local shopping. It's always better to be able to return something to a shop. Unfortunately Richard Sound have so few shops so some people have to travel a long distance with travel costs which can easily eat up the savings made on a purchase. But if you live near it's a great bargain. Voted hot.

To be fair they are a three minute drive from my work

Thanks for the link. Decisions decisions. Any decent 37" ones kicking around? Getting an LCD for parents xmas but they dont want 40" +.

Grrr, ordered something like this (actually the play one) for £450 a couple of days ago from Amazon

I just bought this telly yesterday for the online deal price of £319.90 - it's not great, was replacing my 26" R88 (had an accident) - which had a few better features, like DNIe and Movie Plus processors, and slightly better look, with hidden speakers, and side input panel, that I preferred. But have to say, set it up last night, and it performs pretty decently, it does what it says on the box -
32" (which is decent for a medium sized room)
2 * 10W speakers, so loud enough to enjoy without separate HiFi if you don't have one
One thing I do like is that it swivels on the base, which my older one couldn't do. I live in a long studio, so I can tilt the tv easily to face the bed, the lounge or the kitchen.
If you can do without the bells and whistles, it's a great brand for a nice low price!

At the end of the day, if it was all singing and all dancing how would Samsung justify the more expensive models in the range? Fact is that regardless of the basic features and looks, it is still considerably better than the junk pedaled by the likes of Onn / Hannspree / AOC / Bush and all the other no mark brands. It is the best cheap 32" LCD deal from a proper store.

Not sure why this is marked as expired. Deal is still on so far as I can see.

Why is this expired? It's in-store only so check your local shops for stock.

All you need do is find the day your local branch gets it's stock delivery (Liverpool is Wednesday). Every new stock deal I have wanted has turned up on the Wednesday delivery, just call early and ask them to reserve. I would agree though to call before travelling because they shift stock quickly on the deals and don't get much in.

With regards the clearance items, these are more often than not old stock and ex display models. As such only a few branches around the country will have them. For instance I was getting a Sonos system and was trying to find a Clearance one at Richer recently. Neither Liverpool or Chester had one, but Blackburn had two (one ex-display, one customer return) and Prestwich had one but admitted it was a bit rough around the gills. I decided to pay an extra £100 for a new one delivered rather than drive to Blackburn, but the deal was available.

This is the 3 series old.

Add £30 on top (£330 from play.com and even cheaper from other places check on this forum) you can get a 4 seris. Which ahs excellent review but does not have 1090p resolution.

5 and 6 series has 1080p resolution but it is for £500- £700

how do i get it for the VIP price? seems to be 319? also whats the advantages of paying £30 extra for a series 4? dont mind paying the extra if its actually worth it

If you could get the 4 series for £30 extra in a retail store then it would be worth considering. Based on Play horror stories with problems I would stick with the series 3. To get it for the VIP price just walk into the store, say you want to buy the TV, wait till they have found if it is in stock or not, then request the VIP price
