Use code VC5 for this price. Realise that the Transcend is available for £16.99 at Amazon but on paper this appears to have higher speeds. However, this card is £19.99 at Amazon. For those that prefer Samsung cards for their Galaxy do-da's. Perhaps someone can verify 'actual' read/write speeds

That doesn't look like the same card, does it?

I would go for the one the OP mentioned on Amazon:

Great spot Op

I know the Sandisks and galaxy phones (s2 / s3) seem to have issues (mine lasted 4 days...) this should work fine, surely ?
Not this card for 13.99 and not class 10. This is awesome deal and card with no issues on Samsung Galaxy S3. Very hot. I have paid slightly less but not for the same card. Its from a good supplier too.

To be fair there have been quite a few in the £13 - £14 region. Even posted on here (search is not the best) but they are all very slow cards, class 4 and none branded.
Are these shipped from Switzerland to avoid VAT by any chance?

Why the need for the exclamation mark? The other guy/girl wasn't far off the mark. Lots of these companies have operations in the Channel Islands specifically so they can avoid VAT!!
I'm not sure if the government has closed off this loophole yet....but certainly for many years of their operations, MyMemory were not paying full tax/vat on the items they sold (hence the lower price)*

*In this regard, both they and Amazon are similar!
Why not. The person could easily have visited the site and clicked on the contact details as I did to find out where the company is based. I'm not that worried about the VAT issue for the price of this particular item. Corporation tax is a different matter though.
Just found a similar 32gb class 10 Samsung microsd card + adapter for £18, fulfilled by Amazon. Might be useful to someone.

The company is based in Jersey and dispatches items from Switzerland. I'm sure you can all make your own minds as to why this is.
thats a fake card in the post above - read the reviews before you buy!

You don't need to wait for the Government to "close of this loophole", just write a cheque for 20% of the value to HMRC and send it to them. Companies only collect VAT on behalf of the exchequer, they don't keep any of it. Personally I don't believe the exchequer deserves approximately 1/6th because I chose to buy an SD card, but there's nothing stopping those that do from giving it to their coffers

They won't be paying corporation tax either.
WhiteishNoise

They won't be paying corporation tax either.

They won't be paying corporation tax in this country, but they will be paying taxes in the country they are based in. Their business will also be generating taxes for our exchequer through all the services they use to deliver their products and business services. Wether that be shipping, telecoms, etc.

To be honest I'm sick and tired of the misinformation and holyer then thou attitude that surrounds the business practices of companies when we're not garnering the taxes. When British based companies don't pay their taxes in a third world country, no one gives a flying F.

OK. If anyone is going to get 'steamed up' about tax evasion they can freely ignore the post. Personally, I don't give a flying ***k. We're taxed too much in this country anyway. It's always those that have vast sums of money that seem to be the main perpetrators of tax evasion employing creative accountants. Down to the govt to close the loopholes. If they're there they'll be exploited.
