Waiting on the c8000 personally. Good intro price though.

Waiting for the battle of formats to be decided and prices to drop below £1500, don't really get why people early adopt things like this? Would make me sick to think a TV you pay £2.5k for this year will be £1k next year! ouch!

Seem like a hot price for the current market, but still very expensive!

Hot price for early adopters indeed. 3D Format has been agreed now so no format war......but as you said im sure the prices will come down eventually. Saw a C8000 today and looked gorgeous! generally around £200 more than the C7000.

I thought you could still get ones with glasses and ones without, also two types of different glasses??... I'm not totally up on the subject, but my understanding was you still had a couple of variations?!

You can get a polorized screen which is very expensive but uses cheap cinema style 3D glasses.....think LG have one in the works. Or a system which uses active shutter glasses which is how all the major companies are going (LG are making shutter system too). Either way...whey can both display Sky 3D and 3D blu ray,,,they just do it in different ways...the 3D signal is the same.

On a side note.....the polorized system is not full HD resolution.

I will be sticking with "plain old" full HD until I gain a smidgen of interest in 3D and/or the sets are sub £1000.

I for sure will be holding out for the ld950 from lg, it uses polarized glasses like the ones used at the cinema. We are a family of 6 and buying the shutter glasses for us is a silly silly price estimated at around £75 per pair.

Have a read

Seen both types of 3D and the active shutter version is far superior. I think the shutter glasses price will drop rapidly as demand grows

Where did you see the c8000 may I ask?

P.S - expect a long wait for these sets to be less than £1500 or £1000 lol.

Currys have the c8000 in stock and on show.

Will take a while for sure for prices to reach that level and i had a feeling this deal was not going to get hot as i knew most people would miss the point but for early adopters this is £600 cheaper than anywhere else at the moment.

have you got to wear glasses still with these t.vs dumb question !!

yes you do.
at the moment the 3d premium for the screens seems to be at a comedy level

just bought one last night

this is great value and the pq is great on hd stuff not great on sd but you aint going to on 55" screen

2d-3d conversion is very interesting adds depth to the image

i am waiting to see some reviews of the samsung plasma 3d sets.

cracking price though and much cheaper than i expected these sets to be.
