Found this at Marshall Ward for £449 reduced from £679 could be even cheaper if you use 20% off discount code XX945 and 8% quidco also could bring the price down to around £336.41 inc delivery.
Now I know some people don't like LITTLEWOODS group but you dont have to use the discount codes if you dont like them. Not as good as the Panasonic 50" deal posted on here 2 weeks ago for £365 but still a good deal if you don't want as big as a 50" screen. You can also use code XX937 to buy now pay Feb 2011

this could go pretty hot like the panasonic a few days ago

Well its under my £10 per inch limit so I'll grab one, 720p does me fine. Thanks OP, H&R left.

One thing, you should not include the quidco cashback in the price quoted.

Cheers, Des.

Ive ordered 1 comes in at £365.15 with code very good price and good reviews also. Heat and rep applied.:)

Plus another £28.74 cash back off via Quidco making the TV £336.41

it says on quidco it might not be paid if code used. but good price without quidco anyway

Mine has tracked already.

very tempted but it only has one scart

i have bought this did not realise it only had 1 scart can you buy an adapter or something to add another scart?

Voted hot.
Bought the LG plasma several weeks ago at same price and discount codes worked ok.

Ordered, thanks! Due for delivery 11th Jan, here's hoping :-)

has gone up to £579

steady on people.....

does anyone know where this 20% discount code has come from?..........is it intended for certain people?

No idea, but mine is due for delivery today (delayed due to snow). Any attempt to retrospectively revoke the voucher will incur my strong displeasure, and will very much not be successful.

Apparently many newish TVs only have 1 SCART, but numerous HDMI inputs; easiest way out is probably to use an automatic SCART switch box:-

That's just a reasonably priced example BTW, no idea if the seller or actual product are any good.

Because they suddenly might want the 20% back, right?

Price now gone
Its £579 before discount codes:?

Correct but i didn't want to scare people in case I am wrong. People would blame me for not getting a deal.

They can "want" all they like, they won't be getting. Last time they tried that little trick, they were out of order and they knew it - they relied on people not knowing their rights and being bullied into paying up. The customers who stood up to them got to keep the voucher code as I recall.

I repeatedly get offered a genuine discount code, both over the phone, by SMS and by email. None of them have actually ever worked, and the one person who called me over the phone got an earful because of it. These weren't codes that have been on here, these were specifically tied to my account. And they STILL wouldn't honour them!

Yet I do know of people here saying that they've used the introductory discount numerous times just by using different email addresses, even with duplicate home addresses they've been fine.

In any case, the deal has now expired, so I'll leave my rant there...

How many devices do you have that still use scart?

Personally loads - DVD player, PVR, Wii , VCR yada yada. I don't have any particular desire to go down the HD route at this point in time.

You don't have to go HD but even just using DVDs you really should get a DVD player with a HDMI output, it will look sooo much better and they can be had for under £20 now. As for the wii you can either use composite or component input for that and you should be able to plug your PVR into your VCR as a passthrough. That must be one ancient PVR that only has scart though.

I hate when people reply with things like "rubbish" and then don't elaborate. The only thin I said that could possibly be inaccurate is about the PVR with scart only as I have never owned one. I would assume however that HDMI would be pretty common on PVRs nowadays.

The problem is, if like me you don't already have a HD ready TV, then there's no point owning a DVD player etc with HDMI, because your existing TV can't use it. I'll have to abandon my DVD player in favour of the Xbox when I get this, since the Sky+ box will be using the Scart socket (I see no value in paying £10/month more just to get the same channels I already have slightly clearer)
