I know. I contacted Amazon about this, hoping they could reduce the warehouse price to the same as the brand new price. I didn't get very far. In fact, the CS guy tried to convince me to buy the new one that was more expensive, so I ordered the warehouse deal to show him who's the boss around here.

Always makes you doubt the quality of a product if it's returned though

You can return if you don't like it?

People change their minds all the time. I've returned two TVs that I didn't bother to open before. Amazon then sell them off with a little discount through their warehouse. I've bought quite a few products from Amazon warehouse and they've been brand new

Fair point. Guess I'm just ultra paranoid. I remember ordering a refurbished apple product many years ago from argos refurbished on ebay and it was mint so i shouldn't worry.... but i do lol

The good thing about Amazon with their warehouse deals is that if there's something about the product that you're not satisfied with, and you contact them, they'll offer quite a considerable discount. I ordered an Echo last year that was half price in their warehouse. Not the dot, the big brother. It came in a plain brown box, so I complained about the packaging and they gave me another 50% reduction just to keep me quiet. Or they said that I can return it free of charge.

I got a similar thing from amazon last year. I bought a tv from them and the screws for the legs were missing. I tried sourcing some but couldn't seem to get any that fit correctly so i got in touch and amazon said they can't send out individual screws so offered a £50 discount or return the tv to them. I accepted the discount and sold the tv on at a profit to someone who was wall mounting it. Win win

I'm really pleased to hear that, @Bones1. Mine arrived yesterday too, and I'm suitably impressed with the overall quality. It was brand new as well, so a real bargain. Even the sound isn't too bad on these sets. I've not tried HDR content yet as I'm waiting for a HDMI 2.0 lead to arrive, but the quality of HD and SD is very pleasing to the eye. I'm glad that I settled on this set as it ticks all the boxes. No noticeable light bleed either. The only annoying thing so far is the main remote. I keep pressing the wrong buttons in the dark but it's just a case of getting used to it.

I tinkered with the settings by using these suggestions from rtings. The ru7100 is pretty much the same set, just with slightly less brightness than the ru7400.

If you want to tweak the white balance settings, here's a nice video. Takes around 10 mins but I think it's worth it.
