Hot but 12th of February ship date is a bit grim though.

FWIW:
400Hz is Samsung's misleading CMR and not the screen refresh rate. To clarify; this is 100Hz refresh rate TV.

Not bad price... I got the 40" 6510 (white version) for £520 a few months back. So £544 for 46" version seems ok.

Have the UE46F6510 version of this model which is the same telly except a white bezel. It is superb. Paid £799 but then got a 5 year warranty from John Lewis. Great picture and just about every feature I can imagine ever wanting in a TV.

If you do get one its worth getting the latest firmware from the samsung website and upgrading via usb. The ota update won't install this latest version for some reason.

Can i get it in black and white?

Its a 46" 3D TV, its from ibood and its £544.90 including delivery. Is that not sufficiently black and white?

Who would want to spend almost £550 on a black & white TV???

It's £100 less per year for a black and white TV license, so in 5.5 years a black and white version would pay for itself

Thanks OP - heat added. Have been after an upgrade to my existing 40" which is about 3 years old. Been obsessing over what to buy - liked the look of this one, but was put off by the £700+ price tag elsewhere. Ordered.

Hot,

though i was lucky, got this for £535 from john lewis, on black friday, they mispriced it!!

Looks a great deal, but quick question... Looking back to Nov 2013, this TV appeared on HukD and a couple of comments advised to check it was the "UK" spec rather than the European spec, as the EU spec does not have a Freeview HD Tuner in it.... Any ideas from the Spec if this unit does have a built in Freeview HD Turner?

OK, done some googling and I believe this TV is not capable of decoding Freeview HD channels... I believe it needs a DVB-T2 Tuner, rather than the DVB-T tuner it has which can only receive standard definition Freeview. Might be a "nothing" for most especially if you are connecting to a Sky box (or equivalent) but just for your information.

Thanks for the info. Disappointing, but not a deal-breaker - I'll be connecting it to a TiVO and a blu-ray player anyway. Still good for the money.

bummer.. thats a deal breaker for me as I wanted it for my bedroom and want HD

This looks like the same model at Richer Sounds £749 Inc 5 year warranty.richersounds.com/pro…500
I don't think Samsung make 3D TVs in that size with built in WiFi but forget to add free view HD. Appears to be there according to the Richer Sounds spec.

techradar.com/new…793 confirms that this only has a standard def DVB-T freeview tuner rather than the DVB-T2 HD tuner

Are you always going to wrongly put apostrophes on plural's? I mean plurals! I know I know, shouldn't correct their grammar! Or is that "there grammar"?

If it is the same TV Richer Sounds spec also says it has free sat HD.

That's what I thought, but maybe different EU countries have different features in the models. I guess all I can do is wait and see. Definitely not a deal-breaker for me, but would be cool to have all functionality intact....

Under no circumstance get a 60 inch+km Samsung, a quick Google search will sore you, predominantly a faint banding with light patches.

Spec states:

Tuner Type: Analogue, DVB-C, DVB-S2, DVB-T

So - it apparently has a freesat HD tuner (DVB-S2), but NOT a Freeview HD one? Seems odd. Perhaps the spec on iBOOD is wrong? As Jimmyboy said, the same model is listed on RicherSounds (and John Lewis) as having Freeview HD. I guess I'll find out for sure in a few weeks.....

ibood are offering the same spec as the German market screens... amazon.de/gp/…-21

It's not much more (719 euros / £599 plus postage?) on Amazon.de for a 46" White version, for those that want white.

Save yourselves a lot of heart ache and run as fast as you can from iBOOD and this deal (sorry OP).

I went for a similar deal on a Samsung TV with them about 6 months ago. Turned out that the TV was not a UK spec TV so hence it could not receive Freeview HD. Also when it was tuned in, no of the channels were in the correct order, as you could not even select the UK as an option whilst tuning. iBOOD conveniently did not mention this on their website.

I requested a return and it took me 3 weeks of constant badgering to get a reply from them. Then it was only because I managed to find a telephone number for them in Holland and refused to accept anything less than a return and full refund. The lady I spoke to on the phone was very rude and arrogant, but I got what a full refund in the end.

Just avoid iBOOD like the plague - you'll see from their online reviews what a dire company they are.

*sigh*

Fingers crossed I have more luck. I have bought from iBOOD before without issue, but not a big ticket item.

my version has FreeviewHD and FreesatHD, must be a slighly different submodel

would john lewis or richer sounds price this tv ?

That is an unbelievable deal. Hot

Great deal...if you can price match with warranty!

Anyone know if they do price match? Really want this!

Don't forget 4.04% Topcashback = another £22 off!

EDIT: Cashback only tracked at £14.93 with a purchase amount of £369.83 for some reason?

John Lewis won't as think they require the company being matched to have actual shops. Richer Sounds possibly but I doubt it as this doesn't have the 5 year warranty so not a like for like product.

Richer sounds wont price match just called them

I bought this from the John Lewis Black Friday event for £599 (not sure how the previous poster got it for £529?).

With the exception of all four corners having dark patches (which after some research after purchasing seems to be a common problem), the set is really nice. I would take the 400Hz refresh rate with a pinch of salt, as having their 'Motion Plus' turned up too high gives a Soap Opera Effect and in my opinion looks awful, but keeping it low makes motion look really smooth without the SOE.

As mentioned before, if this is the European model freeview HD will NOT work on this set.

iBOOD have been around for years - and TrustPilot gives them 9.1 out of 10. Plus, I paid through PayPal, so I'm not overly concerned...
