Do you, having tried one, recommend paying the slightly higher price for a card of this type?
I'm in two minds whether to get one as I was going to go for a twin/triple pack of cheaper make :?

I have a 8GB and a 4GB of this type of card in my Nikon D5000. The speeds are great, i can constantly take pictures in raw form without any slowdown or pausing.

As for them being robust, i haven't been willing to test that factor. i do prefer them being made of part metal. If you are planning to take your sd card in and out of whatever you are using then yes, they feel stronger and thus hopefully, keeping all you data safer. If you aren't planning to move it though, you could get a cheaper class 6 card.

I myself have just bought another 4GB as i have been impressed with them.

Ordered - thanks op, heat and rep added
I'm normally only a sandisk man - have had loads over the years and they've never let me down.

I am always a bit nervous trying different brands - but this seemed a good deal and is half the price of the sandisk ones

For those who aren't as paranoid as me (I always think of the cost of the photos lost when buying these things) then there are some decent deals out on integral class 6 ones

Thanks both. Might give this one a try then. Think the max my camera will take is 4gb.

Hubby has a new SLD camera so i'll have a look at the 8bg ones for him too.

if just normal SLR then you probablu don't need a class 6 speed one.

This one seems a great deal for a slightly slower (class 4) one - although I have no idea of reliability (as I said - i'm paranoid when it comes to losing data, especially if you're taking photos that can't be replaced).

thats what i got it for - although to be honest - my old 2 gig cards with no classification (but look like class 2) record the HD video without missing a beat! Not sure if you actually need to spend the extra for the faster cards. Will help with data transfer though

Good value
