No reason not to IMO, especially at this price. Managed to sell my Samsung 720p 50" for £610 last night so this works out at around £300 for me after quidco :):)

FANTASTIC PICTURE

How much does it work out after Quidco anyone?

Glad to see the code is now working on it. It wasn't last night. So you're looking at £931-ish after quidco, nice.

Quidco tracked @ £28.77, So will be £930.23

931.22 you mean

It shows 3 pairs of glasses in the pic but only 2 are included according to the site.

1 pair comes with the TV.

hot, however are there any reviews of this set?

avforums seems to have no info on it either.

cheers

great deal,

Would be great to play COD: Black ops or Killzone 3 in 3D on that.

wish I hadn't just got a 50" Non 3D a month ago!

I take that back, you are right Unhinged, doh.

Very similar price to the C750 deal. Which is the better screen? (I realise one is plasma and one is lcd).

I wouldn't pay £9 to have to watch TV whilst wearing glasses, put this in a box with your Scratch n Sniff cards and Virtual Reality headset. 3DTV will be impressive when it's actually 3D.

Do i ? £959 - £28.77= £930.23

Unless im making a schoolboy error ( which is highly possible as i have just finished a 16 hour nightshift)

btw, this does not come with that cable they are trying to sell to you for £99..... go on play.com, 1m is only £17.99:

play.com/Ele…tml?_%24ja=tsid:11518|cc:|prd:15176236|cat:Audio+Cables

or 2m for £29.99:

According to the website these are plasma. How much power does something like this use now?

Just noticed that this also has wifi support

Isn't it a bit ealry to buy 3D yet? The technology is going to improve so rapidly over the next few years that these will be obsolete by 2012

And the tv you buy in 2012 will be obsolete by 2014 If you always wait you'll keep waiting.

I don't want to get into the whole Plasma vs LCD debate here but, for 3D TV (specifically) you will get a better 3D image due to the pixel refresh rate.

this is an awesome deal H&R added.

My wife will soooo leave me if I get this.

Tough choice. Do I get the TV or keep my marriage?

I agree with this but lcd's can get a lot brighter (which helps since the glasses are not clear). I can't find any reviews on this particular set whereas the C750 has had some great reviews. I may flip a coin lol

Yeah, also Plasma's suffer with a fair bit of screen reflection (glass) so might not be good in light rooms, and they will be a lot heavier but I've seen this TV in the flesh and the 3D pic is very bright and nowt short of amazing.:D I'd love to buy it, but have no need for it at present.

If thats his wife leaving, you wouldn't want a tv

You know what it's tempting and a great deal but then it's Dixons, I'll vote hot but no thanks. I think I'll stick with Costco where I know I'll get a hassle free, no quibble, 5 year money back guarantee if it breaks.

So true.

costco does not do 5 yr money back guarantee 90 days moneyback then after that repair only im afraid slippy sloppy

Think it all depends on what you are watching???? Lol

How does these compare to mispiced LG 50PX990 from amazon posted yesterday?

I still don't get the 3D thing, there is so little content out there.
Only Sky are offering 3D tv and i ain't paying for their overpriced service.
Give it a few years and it might be better.........but not for me

I might be wrong but I thought Sky were doing this for free. I vaguely remember seeing it on one of those boring "Sky is great" adverts. But I might have imagined it.

I was right. Found this on Sky's website
