I don't know if this is a great deal or just a good deal?
Good price. They were selling the 49 inch version of this at John Lewis for the same price not long ago

It's a good deal. Personally I would get Richer Sounds to beat it and get it for £539 with a 6 year warranty.
I just bought the one from richer sounds samsung ue55mu7000
I have opened and used it for a little tonight.
My question is can i repack it and take it back to store to get my. Full refund back without any charge?
As i really want to buy this one
Got this TV from AO for £445. Love it!

Not really unless it's got some obvious fault or you can convince them it's quality is not up to standard. They might take it back and deduct some sort of restocking fee because they can no longer sell it as new. The UE55MU7000 is better than this TV. What did you pay for it and what's your reason for wanting to return it?

I paid £639 it was a priced match but i don't know i feel its still too much and this tv is £100 less but not much difference
How much do you think they charge if i take it. Back?

I am assuming you bought it in-store then it's 15%. However I would talk to the manager and since you are still buying another TV from them they might be sympathetic. But I would act soon.

richersounds.com/inf…nds

In-store purchases.

We will happily refund or exchange your purchase price in full if for any reason you return your item/s to us in a ‘sealed’ (unopened/unused) condition within 28 days of purchase.

As you can appreciate, we would request that all goods be returned in an ‘as new’ condition complete with packaging and all accessories (please note, for hygiene reasons we are unable to give refunds on headphones). Unfortunately, goods which do not comply with this condition may be subject to a handling charge.

If the unit/s you’re returning have been opened or used, we are unable to resell them as new. Therefore, a 15% handling charge will be deducted if they are returned within 28 days of purchase in mint condition with all packaging/accessories (excludes headphones). This does not affect your statutory rights.

You should be able to return within 14 days as long as it’s in the original packing and all bits are there. I retuned one tv as it would not fit the tv stand no issues.

Why? 10 bit, better screen, faster response times and generally a far better tv.
Sd like bbc non hd will look just as shite on tge cheaper tv. If you play ps4 or xbox 4k or what blurays in 4k then there is a big difference

It's £549 here but Richer Sounds should match this and knock a further £10 off. You can do this in-store or via telesales.
Active crystal colour?

What a load of marketing tosh. They really need to be held to account for dribble like that.

Unless you have crystals jumping up and down and radiating colour, it's a load of ....

Dude, keep the 7000, there's also an 8000 listed today. I have the 6400 and find the screen dull...I've turned the colour to 100 percent and it's still dark. I bought it for the Freesat as my TV signal is poor on terrestrial in winter.
I've been considering the 40" version of this TV, at £419. Would that be a better bet than this Sony johnlewis.com/son…775
Thanks anyone for their thoughts.
£499 here CjwKCAjwi6TYBRAYEiwAOeH7GUJKHGb5tQ_jeVoYuoISFFnU4cZZMess6xWhTalr03VSi7LvSBbSCBoCBxsQAvD_BwE
Can it be price matched?

Did you buy it in shop and returned to shop please? All the reason you had was as it was not fit yout tv stand?
Gosh, this buying a TV debacle is a pain! 🤕
Can any EXPERT TV BUFFS please suggest the best option between this TV, the Samsung UE55MU7000, and the LG 55SJ800V?

I imagine they have used Richer Sounds (who beat by £10) to price match RGB Direct selling at £649.
Is this a better deal than the Panasonic 50ex700b from John Lewis price match at £399?

From that list, MU7000 all day long. That LG is what many describe as 'fake 4K'. The LG 55sj850v (true 4k) is probably closer in comparison to the MU7000. The sj850 has better viewing angles (than MU7000) and a centre stand. If I was looking at a price range of £700 ish it'd be MU7000 vs SJ850v. Not sure if there's a Panasonic that's worth considering at £700 ish.

IS this better than the UE55F8000
If anyone wants to get it online from Richer Sounds use the code TV30 for £30 off
Bought this TV. Upgraded from Sony HD TV. TV looks great picture is great and 4k stuff looks awesome. Ps pro looks well good. Currently at crampton and moore for 539 which JL will price match.
Euphiletos3 h, 52 m ago

Yes they are but in very different ways. SJ800 is a RGBW set up. SJ850 is a RGB set up.

Every forth subpixel on the SJ800 is replaced with a white pixel. So yes it has 4k resolution pixels but not 4k COLOUR resolution as 25% of them are white only.

Info here.

Hi I returned it as it was no longer required and I changed my mind but yes that was the reason. The television had a stand either end and was a couple of inches over. I have not had any issues returning goods within the 14day cooling off period
Is this any good for gaming?
Shame it only has 3 HDMI sockets.

I wouldn't say so given there is not a big difference in size and performance. The Panasonic also doesn't have a satellite tuner. If you are not desperate for a 55 inch tv and would settle for 50 inches minus the Freesat then the Panasonic represents much better value. I also think the Panasonic has slightly better build quality.

The 14 day cooling off period only really applies to online or telesales. And even then you could end up dealing with someone difficult who might be reluctant to give you a full refund once opened. I think the problem for the chap is he's actually turned it on too. But as I said earlier it's worth a go.
