Just stumbled on this, cracking deal for what is probably the second best 55" TV on the market.

Robertwhyte.co.uk have it for £1999 which includes 5yr warranty, four pairs of 3D specs.

To bring it down to £1810, collect it from store, use the discount code "1767" (takes 2% off) and claim the £150 from samsung.

Delivery is £49.99 though, so collect to save at there store.

please only vote cold if you feel this is cheaper elsewhere, not just because you 'feel' its too expensive for a TV. This is a good deal at present. thanks.

I'll have 1 for my bathroom.

I looked at the 46" of this model in Bestbuy last night.

It is immense and I need one!!

Whats the best 55"? If this is the second?

Even if JL was more expensive (Which it isn't) I'd still buy from them for peace of mind

Waiting for these to drop at Best Buy (hopefully 30%) and I'll jump on. These TVs are beautiful.

Yes...what's the bestest ever TV if this is 2nd?

Pretty average review - avforums.com/rev…tml

I'd definitely get a plasma if I were going for a large 3d tv.

This is THE best set i've ever clapped my daggers on. I'm waiting till the E series (next years model if it is called that) to be announced.

This is my next buy. Without doubt. Probably pick up middle of next year, when hopefully it'll be a good whack cheaper.
Awesome set this!

The best 55" TV is the Panasonic 55VT30.

This place has a real shop too so JL might price match inc. 5 yr warranty?

Panasonic 55VT30. This is a real nice TV but still a hell of a lot of money. I'll be looking to upgrade to it if it drops to about £1,000

You know you live in a council house when your TV is larger than your wall....

HOT!!!! I want one to go with my imaginery av system!

Price now down to £1795 before cashback. electronicempire.co.uk/tel…-tv

So this is the 55" version of the UE40D8000, but the Panasonic is meant to be better? I'm looking at the UE40D8000 for Sky HD, movies, sports, SD channels and PS3 gaming. Thinking Plasma is meant to be better for sports and SD, though - is that right?

For the untrained eye, it doesn't really matter... If you feel it suits you then it should be OK.
