Couple of generations old, but a great price for this size Samsung!!

It isn't - the 'H' in the model code means it's a 2014 model.

Yes, my mistake

What's the refresh rate on this unit? Looking at a good TV for Pc gaming. Sony w7 series is ahead in my mind for input lag spec. But saw a w7 today and it didn't impress me.

I am looking to upgrade from my current 42 inch and planning for 55 inch plus. Is this the best spec for the price? I am not so keen on 3D though. Any suggestions?

£5 cheaper here and the same company, using code- 25%couponforyou

This is 200 hz I think and lacks the quad core tech so can be slow compared to the 6400

The 6200 is quad core, it is however missing the 3d glasses and smart remote of the 6400, just depends if they are worth the extra £150 to you I suppose.

How does this tv compare to the 58" samsung led tv they were selling in richer sounds a few months back for under £600?

Great price for this TV. Richer Sounds have it on sale at 699.

I'm between this and the UE55H6400 (£749, 5 yr guarantee). Both are great sets and I really don't know if I will notice a big difference is 200 sv 400 motion rate. Although I have read this is a marketing figure and the actual rates are 100hz and 200hz respectively. No long guarantee, glasses or smart remote in this deal by the looks of it

I've just finished boxing my 55H6400 up for return to John Lewis. Its an excellent TV sadly plagued with issues, mine had the lip sync issue - Freeview and HDMI (currently no fix according to Samsung) intermittent wifi reception and a slight dose of clouding and DSE. I Paid £699 and feel slightly robbed given the issues, £599 for the 55H6200 is a little more palatable for equal if not better performance, minus the excellent smart remote and glasses.

We bought a ue55h6500 model, for £749 co-op election the other week and it's unbelievably good. FYI I researched tonnes and am also a Which? Member. The 6500, 6400, and 6200 were all in which's best buys xx

Good find

I asked direct - but they didnt reply lol

So by the looks of it the real refresh rate for both models 6200/6400 is 120hz. The Samsung clear motion rate (CMR) is 200/400. Based on this and the fact I can get the glasses for £15 each, the 6200 @ 599 may clinch it for me

DSE = Dirty Screen Effect as it wasn't explained in this post. Taking down obfuscation one acronym at a time people

Man I'm confused by TV's! Thought I had settled on the Sony KDL50W829, then the Samsung 48H6400 but you read so many different opinions and seeing them live is nearly impossible. Help!

You and me both! Saw an LG in a shop today 55" 4k model for 799 but consensus seems to be that Samsung and Sony are better makes than LG......so confused. I just want a good solid 55" tv at around this price point.

Forget about 4k. At this price range you will get a much better set with a 1080p screen. All the cheap 4k sets are getting terrible reviews.

I got the 40" version of this the other day and no matter which picture setting i use its almost like its too good, all the films and dramas look like they are reality TV or on the set of Neighbours. Most offputting.

Know how you feel mate but reckon i'm going for this one:

Bit of a premium over the 6400 but should be worth it.

Does any one know if John Lewis or Richer Sounds would price match this?

Edit: Doesn't look like John Lewis stock this, but Richer Sounds have it for £699

Good choice. I've gone for the 48H6200 via the Co-op at £459, hopefully it's not rubbish!

I have the 50" version for about 2 months and its really good!

Nah, it'll be a good telly. I wanted a higher motion rate for watching sports. There will always be someone saying 'spend a bit extra on the next model up' but at some point you have to make a choice based on what you want it for.
