Who was waiting for me to remind them that this television was £420 with a 5-year warranty from Samsung Experience store between 27th-30th December 2018? It had a RRP of £699.99. It now more expensive. Comical.

Never to be repeated price, but an indication of how over priced this is!

Nice TV but q6 isn't currently much more expensive and has been even cheaper. Personally I'd hold out for a better deal on that model around this price point.

Is the Q6 decent?
There's not actually much difference between the nu8000 and the Q6 but the Q6 has been £50 cheaper than this so just depends if you can wait for a cheaper deal to come along again which is a possibility as seems to be deals everyday at the moment

The Q6FN is only very slightly better than the nu8000. If priced the same or very close then get the Q6FN, not worth spending more on though.

Both TV's have been over-priced since launch tbh which had a knock on effect throughout the year. The Q6FN was priced at ~£1700 when it came out when the reality is in terms of where it falls in the tiers of TV's it should have been much, much less. It's current price of around half that is what it should have launched at. Mid range TV with a premium price.
I missed the Q6 deal but I can certainly see the difference in the demo sets I looked at which had the same material on. Seemed brighter and more detailed at the same time. I'm just waiting on the right deal to come around again. Would go to the q8 for a couple of hundred more but it is more like 4-500 more at moment. Here's hoping...

If your budget does stretch a few hundred higher You could also consider the Sony 55xf9005

XF is also a far superior TV to the Q6 or Q7 (loads of reviews) and considering it has FALD and the next qled with FALD is the Q9 or the Q8 USA model which supposedly has a stepped down version of the local area dimming from the Q9 (look at the price also and the xf appears even better value) , its no wonder that the XF scores extremely well on rtings.com in comparison to the qleds of a similar or higher price point.

I was waiting, it’s taken a while but u didn’t disappoint
In fairness, Common.Sense makes a good point.

This is overpriced considering the age of the product and that it has been superseded a plenty.

No soundbar. Just the television and a 5 year warranty.
