Good price from Amazon. Better to order 2, and save on delivery if you're not a prime member.

This is not a new model, but for whatever reason Amazon have got it down as Pre-Order.

This is the card only (No SD Card adapter)

NOTE: Price is fluctuating.

Regardless of the price, I find samsung quality to be mediocre at best. I … Regardless of the price, I find samsung quality to be mediocre at best. I had 2 faulty micro sds and some friends too. Also read/write speed is way below of what they say it is. Sandisk way better.

I have Samsung sd cards dating back almost 10 years with no faults at all and find this card to be up with the best for speed, so many people buy fake cards without knowing and blame the brands.
Heat and highly recommended from me.

U1 though man, you want U3 Class 10..

Is this compatible with the Samsung S8?

Bought one of these in august 2016 for £12.99 from Amazon so not hot for me.

Note : Samsung Evo cards are white down the thin side. If yours comes and is black along the side, it's a fake. May be a fake with white sides as well so check it anyway.

Heat added.

Personally I've had a lot more Sandisks fail (three) than Samsung (none).

Agreed 20mb/s write speed is pathetic given other options who is that kind of time to wait???

agree with the other comments on Samsung. you most probably got the fake ones. I had the best variant of lexar and SanDisk, both having error and at least need reformat once (plus permanent damage on particular sector), while my Samsung is still running faultless for years

I bought four of these and 1 turned out to be faulty, the other 3 were fine. They came direct from Amazon.

question, what's so special about this red evo? I had orange evo 1.5 years ago for £17. wonder whether this is worth to buy

Thabks OP. I was waiting for this or the 128gb to come down to whack into my switch. Cheers

You must be joking?! Samsung are the most reliable SD cards i've owned! You are seriously recommending Sandisk over Samsung... the amount of times i've heard people say "oh my god, my USB corrupted or lock itself" or "oh my god, my SD card corrupted and locked itself" is stupidly too many. I sadly can no longer recommend Sandisk, too many of their devices are slow and unreliable. Although... each to their own

I've also had 2 go faulty after 9 months medium use (looked genuine, but can't be sure), but good old Amazon refunded me. Luckily I have no important files on there. These were the non-plus 32GB ones.

Speed wise, it varies. Each time i've tested them, I get close to what is advertised. You will never get the extact advertised speed, unless you are testing exactly the way Samsung do (I guess).

Well I didn't bother to check the serial numbers but they were all purchased from amazon. When I questioned friends they all seem to have bought it from amazon too.

Unfortunately even Amazon end up selling fakes now sometimes.. not just marketplace sellers either, ones sold & dispatched by Amazon. Sad but true. Fakes everywhere

Looks like a Pokémon ball in that pic.

I clearly stated a personal review. Plus Samsung is well known from their** use of cheap components let alone note 7. Check they different versions of samsung 8 being sold in europe.

All depends on the card, age, usage etc. At least with Samsung, they're vertically integrated in terms of production of their own memory controller, nand, PCB etc.

Sandisk Ultras are terrible in terms of reliability.

ROTFL X) What has an oversized battery for the internal space in which it occupies in a phone that is completely unrelated to this memory card got to do with anything? You clearly don't have a clue what you're talking about.

How comes this is a pre-order when this one is already out same card isn't it ? amazon.co.uk/dp/…WWO

10 micro sd cards in last years. First card was 4Mb in 2005. Worst was Lexar, then bit better was Kingston,Sandisk but there was never problem with Samsung card. Not just read/write speeds, mechanical wear and tear, conectors quality and so on. Tested dozens of linux distros. You basically killing card, if you use it for system, but no problems at all with samsung card. And thanks god for orange/red colour cos many times it save card from loss. There are grey PRO versions, but thats more about top reliability then speed. There are lot of fakes, but there are lot of manuals how to check.

64gb Evo Class 10 Samsung Class 10 is what I bought last year. They might be claiming a faster speed but I guess it still takes the same time to load all the pictures in my phone when I connect it to my pc. You can't believe the read/write claims unless you test them. Sandisk claim a decent speed for the Ultra Dual. It hardly reads usb 2 speeds let alone usb 3 yet their standard ultra is ok. I have both as well as a Samsung Evo 64gb card in my phone.

evo plus range has been out for last 2 years

Serious question but why has the price of these shot up so much recently when they don't seem to be affected by any "floods" like HD were a couple of years ago?

Is it simply supply and demand?

Think at the end of last year Argos were knocking out 64GB class 10 Sandisks for £9.99

My bad it was 1 year 5 months back haha!

9.99 64GB Sandisk

I think it is supply and demand (similar prices in FR/DE). There were deals around in December and January this year for 64GB cards: hotukdeals.com/dea…402

Red EVO+ is faster, but if you've already got the orange EVO it's probably not worth swapping cards.

Good comparison article here ... thewirecutter.com/rev…rd/

Sandisk... I wouldn't use if paid to.

Samsung any day

Cheaper on eBay:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172678074976

and that's why ppl get fake Samsung. there are a lot of seller of fake Samsung. especially Samsung, the fake is very hard to identify. for me personally, I only buy it from reputable *direct* seller like amazon, even that amazon may also got fakes sometimes.

don't, just don't, buy sd card from eBay. its just not worthed

Plenty of popcorn in this thread, I am shocked by the appalling grammar however.

Great price, thanks OP

I was looking to buy a card anyway to replace my old orange Samsung Evo that failed after 8 months. I only keep apps ans Tidal offline music and pictures are backed up to cloud so not a big problem. Amazon returns are easy. If this one also goes wrong I will not buy Samsung again. Not had Sandisk flash drives or SSDs fail so far but I only get the ones with 10 year and/or lifetime warranties (whatever their names) so not the cheapest but worth it. With Samsung 10 year warranty and purchasd from Amazon. Don't see any issues. Any important data should be backed up anyway.
