Windows has an artificial limit of 32GB for formatting flash memory as FAT32, and most cheaper dashcams only accept FAT32.

The actual limit for FAT32 is 2TB.

There are programs that bypass the Windows formatter, and allow you to format these cards as FAT32; I have done this to cards as large as 128GB.

My free program of choice is here Aomei

As to the offer, the price is "meh"; and I wouldnt buy from Ebay; the seller will be getting their stock directly from China, and not through the official channels. The last time I bought from such a seller (on Amazon), the cards turned out to be fakes that died a few months later.

Anyone know if this will work In a nextbase 212 dashcam?, nextbase instructions says 32gb max recommended but have heard of users getting away with larger cards.
I don't have that camera but I wouldn't risk it unless you have something else to use the card for. I've had dash cameras turn away larger cards before now

It works in my 312GW cam, not sure whether the specs for that say to use a 32gb card though.

£16.79 from 7dayshop
Check out Mymemorys main website if your nervous about the eBay site, using the website the price has gone up to £18.99 but give it a few days and you'll be able to get it for under £17 also there's a code VC5.

Looks a good price using this deal so I'm voting hot

I dont know about official, have you heard from SanDisk stating it is true??

However, I will modify what I said; as the name as shown isnt the same as the two different names being used on Ebay, I thought it was a different seller "passing off" as a known brand.

MyMemory v My Memory v Mymemory-uk

Having said that, I am glad some people have found the explanation and link in my previous post useful.

Don't know about your dashcam but your better off sticking to a high endurance card from transcend or sandisk both are designed for the pressure a dashcam puts on a micro sd card with constant writing and overwriting to the card something a standard micro sd card doesn't deal with very well. The warranty is also void on most standard consumer micro sd cards if used in a dashcam.

Agree with an earlier post the chances of these being legit pretty unlikely.......
Thanks
Do not buy memory from ebay, it's cheap for a reason i.e. it's more than likely fake.
I ordered an S9 and was meant to get one of these free but it never arrived so they gave me a £29.99 refund instead. Will but from hear and but a Wireless Charger with the extra.
Cheers.
Umm are these not sold by mymemory? Bought stuff from their online store before and had no issue.

£16.79 from 7dayshop

I dont know if 7dayshop sells genuine branded cards or not, but their own brand used to be awful; I bought some for a long trip to China 5-6 years ago, one died while loading it with music, less than an hour out of the box, the second died the next day, after the write speed dropped through the floor while loading the music again, and the other fell apart before the end of the trip; the plastics were so soft the guides bent and then snapped while inserting into my laptop, so it wouldnt align properly.

If you are going for their own brand, I would suggest only buying one to test, before blowing a lot of money on something that might have the life expectancy of a May Fly.
At picstop.co.uk same memory card £17.99. And this shop have any more cards. I bought for myself Sandisk extreme 64gb v3 a1 no problem with my GoPro hero 6. Very recommend

Hehehe, true true.
Be very careful, recently a friend bought the same memory card from eBay and it was a fake, corrupted within a month and he lost valuable data, only buy from genuine seller. This seller had a lot of positive reviews so difficult to tell who is good/bad any more.

So is Amazon, but there are plenty of fake cards direct from them. It has become so much of a problem worldwide that it is way beyond the control of legit sellers, they aren't knowingly selling the fakes but fakes they often are.

Sandisk will void the warrenty if used in dash cams, recomended high endurance cards from transcend or lexar will be better off or any cards which states it is an MLC technology which is better than TLC technology .Sandisk also uses TLC technology for some reason and that cards with TLC will fail at some point due to constant read and write in dash cams...However i have noticed Nextbase instructions say you should format sd card every 2 to 3 weeks to avoid problems.

I currently use a Sandisk High endurance card which is specially designed for use in dash cams and video monitoring systems. The warranty on this particular card is 2 years as apposed to sandisk usual 5 year warranty this is due to it being a high endurance card and the warranty allows use in dash cams and CCTV. I looked at transcend however it's not easy to find a genuine seller for the 64gb card they do at the moment and amazon have none in stock themselves. This is the sandisk i currently use amzn.eu/eFq…1m9 had no problems with it so far and sandisk claim 10,000 hours of Full HD recording.
