Doesn’t seem too bad for a 65 inche

Hot hot hot! Picked up the 65mu9000 for £1200 on boxing Day..... Wanted the 8000 but curved was significantly cheaper. I'd jump all over this and return the other TV if I wasn't so lazy.

John Lewis should match this price. Personally, i would rather have a 5 year warranty from JL than Reliant Direct.

Just requested a pricematch from John Lewis at £1379.00
Should I have requested the pricematch at £1279,00 instead?
The £100 discount is on the page therefore should request price match at £1279

I ll put in another claim then
Thanks for that
This Tv is a superb set with decent blacks and bright as hell, bit of banding if your sitting at the side of it but on a whole a fantastic TV that can make your eyes bleed if set up correctly.
Just to add a paid close to 2k for this model so this is a bargain for a decent panel.
Just to confirm John Lewis have price matched this for me at £1279
Really can't make my mind up. Trying to decide between this and the Sony KD-65XE9005BU. Couple of hundred quid in it... any advice?

I'm in the same boat, keep reading reviews for the Sony that rave about the image quality, but then plenty of real owners say the interface is slow and unresponsive. I'm swaying towards this because of that, I don't want to pay 1500 for a laggy TV

That was my exact thought when reading the reviews... image quality over the Samsung possibly being more responsive. Still can't decide.

Sony have updated the android interface recently and it is not as bad as people make it sound. It's android after all and access to plenty of apps from the Google play store makes the interface desirable in its own rights over proprietary systems. In terms of picture quality, XE90 wins hands down. If price is the main consideration, go for this. If its picture quality, then its the XE90 hands down; don't let the android interface put you off. Of course, go to a store to view and play with the TVs if still unsure.

What settings have you set at? Have you got the hdmr on etc?

I got it a month ago. But find some blacks look pixelated
Got a price match with JL and rang to cancel Reliant order and they have offered an additional £50 off. Should I keep reliant order for £1229 or pay £50 extra for JL customer service?! Any opinions?

I will give serious consideration to the Reliant offer as long as there is a 5 year warranty with it.
Ordered, should be here Wednesday, was looking at the model below but the price was too good to ignore! Plus 5 year warranty!

John Lewis have pricematched at £1279.00...even though I originally requested a match for the higher figure.
Good job and thanks John Lewis, its not the first time I have dealt with you and it certainly wont be the last.
Top marks

I don’t use built in picture engines as they make matters worse so try most of the filters and image stabilisers/clear view off.
Took me a few weeks to settle on the right settings but I’m well happy.
John Lewis won’t price match this retailer for me just says ... ‘Sorry - we can't match this retailer as it's an online-only business’.

Richer sounds should. Give them a go?
Hopefully Q7/8/9 should get down to this price in the next few months, then I'll bite.

They definitely do match and reliant is not an online only store. This happened to me as well when I typed in reliantdirect as one word but as two separate words they accepted in on the online form.

That shouldn't be the case. I just got it price matched today from JL at £1279. Reliant direct have a store in Blackpool as well so I'd go back to them with that.
