Thanks guys, in that case I guess Richer Sounds will be the better option for most with 6 Year Warranty instead of 5.

Hey James, yes a lot of retailers followed suit with the price reduction.

When this very first came out it was over 2k, and that was without the free soundbar. Quite a few people that waited for it to come down are seeing this as the biting point.

Whilst theres always a chance it will be reduced a bit more, I don't think this will go much further down in value. If anything, as it is the 2019 model, I think in six months there will be very few of these around.

In my opinion, if you are seriously interested I'd consider buying the TV sooner from your preferred shop, and start enjoying it. This year's equivalent model costs significantly more but isn't significantly better.
I noticed the 55" at 799 with free sounbar. This also a good deal? Will see about RS price matching this also as 65 is too big atm for me

I think that's a good deal with the soundbar for a very good TV. I know it's a lot of money but if you can still get the Q85 for the bit extra anywhere including the soundbar, that performs almost like the very top of the range Samsung Q90 from 2019, and so is also worth your consideration.

Thanks for the advice Mr sweet. I'm on the look out for a new TV. Not technically savvy either. And all these brands and model numbers etc are doing my swede in. So appreciate it. 🏻

If I have no luck. What would you say is the best 55inch sub £700.

You're very welcome. I don't claim to be an expert but I guess I'm reasonably technical and been into home cinema and TVs for about 20 years. The brands and all the different numbers can definitely do your swede in!

I think for not too far away from the £700 mark you were right to consider the Samsung Q70.

If you don't mind having very slightly bigger than 55 inch, a 58 inch TV, the Panasonic 58GX800B is a really impressive set too, as long as you don't sit and watch it at too sharp of an angle and it's about £699. I think they only sell it in a 50 and 58 inch. If you don't get a Q70 this is the set I would personally lean towards.

And the Samsung 55RU8000 is also very, very good and whilst not quite as good as the Q70 Samsung, it can be had for a little under £600 last I checked and in many conditions I don't think it's far off the Q70, it's not quite as bright but I still think plenty bright enough for most situations.

I've seen these in person and they get favourable reviews as well from the professionals. It all depends on what your main priorities are and what you're hoping for.
I've had this TV for 2 weeks and it's wonderful. Paid £950. You won't get more tv for your money.

I'm not a gamer, just like a good picture and colour to watch films on. And upto date features, like apps, phone connecting etc.... My current LG lm620 is bit outdated. 🙈 Served me well though. I'll definitely be choosing 1 of those. And will be keeping you updated. Lol. Shame everything atm is shut so I can't see em in action you know. But, hey ho.
