Bragging about a staff discount of 8% will do you no favours...

Its not staff discount, lots of people can get discounted gift cards from their work and use them to pay for the TV.
Feck, it is easier to put a man on the Moon than buy a telly these days.
I own a 55NU8000 and one of these 65NU8070, there are a few differences between them, The 8070 has a nicer second remote in silver, better motion and less flicker, better viewing angles, better colour, As it's the same price as the Nu8000 at the moment it's a no brainer to go for this model if your looking for a new TV, Fantastic for gaming.

voted hot. you should add the 5 years warranty in topic before it gets freezing cold,
Why is it better then the nu8000 OP?

When I checked the specs it had a full 10bit panel.

It doesn't have a 10bit panel. Samsung usually change the model number for a colour change or retailer exclusive. It's effectively the same TV

It's true I get 8% discount on Currys products through a scheme we have at work alot of companies you work for offer retail discounts
super tv, overall I consider it better than my previous QLED ks9000. Can also play @120hz 1440p. Upscaling is fantastic. I believe it is a proper 10bit panel vs the nu8000 (no 5 years warranty)

2 remote controls instead of the only funny one, true 10 bit panel, extreme local dimming, 5years warranty for free
Sorry all. Isn’t the 8070 the same as 8000. The nu8000 appears a similar price in a lot of different stores. Curry’s also do it.

Neroneuk? Which is better ?
I’ve tried looking online for reviews of 8070 but can’t find any. And some are saying it’s same as 8000 just cosmetic differences.
Is this just the 8000 with a different model number for Currys? Maybe a slightly different colour for Currys?
I’m not sure mate. Currys seem to sell both 8000 and 8070.
Bought this very TV.... great unit. Has 2.0a hdmi rather than 2.0 on 8700.. plus higher rate screen and better HDR

In this case there are a number of differences. Screen, hdmi rating and HDR....ALL different

the warranty only is worth £150 and very useful
Cannot go wrong at the same price.
Also, it is not an exclusive of Currys. About the 10bit panel many do not agree but the only fact that is got the extreme local dimming it might mean that it is a true 10 bit panel as displayed here: displayspecifications.com/en/…1e0

This tv was originally sold at £200 RRP more than the nu8000.

One is simpler for common things like volume and channels, I believe it's Bluetooth as well. But the other remote is your standard TV remote.
I this this could Be the one. Will pay a visit Tom. Thanks all

No it's a slightly better TV than the NU8000, it is very similar to the QLED Q6 in performance according to a Samsung Rep I spoke to.
And £70 cashback through Quidco currently on TVs over £1000.

Who's spec chart is that fella?? Pm if you don't wanna post it... Looks too summed down to be a Samsung sheet? They usually have the pqi rated too?
Will say I've and the 55 inch since Christmas and it's the best TV I've ever owned, perfect for gaming, and works with Alexa. Couldn't ask for more, all the David Attenborough documentaries look gorgeous on this!!
Best TV I ever had.I bought this from Currys last year for 1400£ to replace our Sony Android TV & I am really impressed with it.Excellent picture quality, good sound, no lag, very responsive unlike crap Sony Android TV. My only regret is " I should have waited until now"

37030965-9AlS5.jpgThis might help UHD dimming technology in the 8070 is the same as in QLED where as the 8000 does have the same tech
How good is the warranty that's with it? Is it PC world or Samsung's warranty? With a corporate discount on buying vouchers and possible quidco, I could get this for £912.

Going by the reviews, not really sure its worth the paper its written on. I have had to return a Sony and hisense under extended warranty's and its a now a must have to have a decent 5 or 6 year warranty.

I have the 55nu8000 and I'd say the differences are minimal. The nu8000 also has 2 remotes and mine does have 5 years warranty too with it. I only paid £420. Absolute fantastic TV!

Just going to post the same.

A mate who got the 7400 model said his also had 2 remotes.
I spoke to Samsung on live chat month ago and they confirmed the 8070 is EXACTLY the same to the 8000 just the darker grey colour on the 8070that was it.

They lied....it has a higher grade refresh, 2.0a instead of 2.0 hdmi and much higher rate HDR. You've just ended up with someone thinking 2 hdmi is the same as any tv with 2hdmi....

they are useless on that, they read on the screen what we can read on the web. More recently I had to teach them how to manually find a sat channel and how to transfer a channel list. They all agreed that it was not possible. I had to find out by myself and it is possible
