This was a pound cheaper the other week and that got hot but this is the cheapest price today.

One of the best SSDs in terms of speed and reliability.

The 'laptop kit' includes:
SSD drive (obviously)
SATA to USB cable
Spacer (to accomodate 9.5mm drive bays)
Norton Ghost 15
Magician software (for drive management, FW updates etc)

I would have expected the price of these to be at least a Tenner less, around 50p per gig. Pretty sure the 256 size can be had at that rate (ie £130 ish)

I think I will wait a while longer :-)

So close to buying one of these, but my gut tells me SSD is going to see a huge drop in 6 months, with HDD starting to come down, the competition alone should cause a drop.

By the time SSD3 drop in price, there will be SSD4... good luck waiting for 50p per Gb

I really wouldn't wait any longer, I have one of these and boy are they good.

I bought of of these yesterday. Cloned my laptop hard drive on to it and installed it.. AWESOME!!! windows experience hard drive speed 7.9 :-)

Heat for the price, but too many people seem to slate dabs so still holding out for a better/similar deal with the likes of Novatech/Amazon etc.

Yesssssssss, at last, a SSD deal at least 1p cheaper than the last one - woooooo-hooooooooooooooo

More important: this is a cheap RELIABLE ssd, quick too. Very very good buy.

soops

I am also thinking of putting one in my laptop and just wondering what extras do I need like a mounting bracket?
Or can I just stick it in if its 2.5'

No bracket needed to put this in a laptop. Should just simply replace the current drive that's in there.

Says it comes with all the bits you need plus its 7mm version so think ebough for any laptop. Make sure you have a free drive bay if its an addition.

I got one of these (256GB) for my desktop recently, though i bought the "laptop kit" as it was cheapest at the time and I only needed the actual drive itself.

Its a 7mm thick drive so fits in the extra slim laptops but it also has a spacer which can be used to increase the thickness to that of the thicker (9mm I believe) 2.5 inch drives

Aren't these for free yet???

Bought one yesterday, can't wait for it to arrive.

One of the best performing and reliable SSDs for a great price, including Norton Ghost 15 and a 3 year warranty. Plan to install in my desktop as system and program drive using some 2.5 to 3.5 rails I already have.

Don't understand why this is not scorching?? I thought it must be a misprice.

This is by far one of the best SSDs out there at the moment

Going to order this thanks!

Also don't forget 2% on Topcashback (_;)

Purchased, cheers

It was pay day today.. might stop waiting and just get one now. I'm sure i'll regret it tomorrow when it's £10 cheaper.

thanks, ordered one.

a good video showing ssd performance, in comparison too none ssd:

Excuse the stupid question, but how can I tell if my PC can take SATA 3 ?

I think it will work on a USB2 as well, but you'll only get the lower speeds.

I'm on win XP (don't really want to go to Win 7), would there be much point in getting this?

Absolutely.

Was just about to buy it from Amazon until I noticed "Usually dispatched within 1 - 2 months." oO

If you're happy running XP, you don't need an SSD. You don't feed steak to your dead cat

would this work in my laptop to replace my cd\dvd drive to run windows on to speed things up

thank you
